I'm building a cheap computer for a friend, I was looking for RAM in amazon and I saw two options to buy, a 3000Mhz CL15 RAM and a 2666Mhz CL16 ram. I'm buying an Intel 10100 and the maxium speed that supports is 2666Mhz with a gigabyte H410M-H.
The question is, since the first ram will run at 2666Mhz, would this ram be effectively a 2666Mhz CL15 in my system?. Is the first one better than the second?
I'm aware I can buy the first one and turn on XMP, but I just want to know about the stock behavior.
