We've recently put a graphics card in one of our "surveillance" PC's, and noticed that the image we get from the gpu is worse than the one from our onboard graphics. As far as I know the "surveillance" program we use is using the H264 codec. I've looked through the application itself for any hardware acceleration settings or something like that, but can't find any. Before contacting the supplier I'd like to try my luck on here.
Here's a few images showing the problem. Now, it doesn't look like a big difference, but for our use it is. Notice that #1 is onboard graphics, #2 is our Nvidia Quadro P620. Tried with Nvidia GeForce GT1030 as well, but same problem here, so it seems like a software issue from our surveillance program or a codec issue/settings from Nvidia. Do we need NVDEC for example?
