  1. Are all 24k of your posts here as useless as this? I've built many computers with planned out several month part acquisitions. You're not offering anything of substance by not answering the question in the original post.
  2. Starting a build probably sometime around March(ish) but getting together basics now. Already have 2x 2tb 660p's, Castle 240EX, 32gb DDR4 3200 ram, 750W Corsair RMx, and am now stuck on a case. I'd prefer lots of glass and RGB fans, but also has to have great cable management with grommets etc. Mid tower preferred, 300 budget. Front runners right now are RGB Vision S2 and Evolve X or Corsair crystal 680x/Obsidian 500d RGB. Would love to hear something outside of that as I'm not seeing anything that's calling out to me yet. Thanks!
  3. I currently use OBS and play at 1440p, but can only stream a fairly OK 720p. I want to change it and be able to stream 1080p60.
  4. Hello everyone, it's been a while but I'm very happy to see some old faces still floating around the boards! After almost 5 years with my current 4690k setup I have decided I will be doing a total refresh once the Ryzen 3000 series drops and is fully reviewed. Thank you for any input you all will have! I will stick to the recommended template below: 1. Budget & Location - I do not have a tight budget, but would like to stick under 2k total build out. I could very easily reuse my PSU and case if total system tdp was low enough, but would probably prefer a total build so I can pass down my current rig to my nephew. I am located in Wisconsin/USA and do have access to Prime, but not a Microcenter. 2. Aim -1440p60+ gaming while being able to stream 1080p60 with minimal hiccups. Do not want to use a second computer for streaming. Will be playing a lot of MMO's and ARPG's, possibly some AAA stuff that comes down the pipe if it interests viewers. 3. Monitors - I game on a Pixio P277. This is a 144hz 1440p monitor that I have had for 3 years and absolutely love. 4. Peripherals - No peripherals needed in build. 5. Why are you upgrading? -Current setup is getting a little long in the tooth and I am starting to see some significant dropoff while trying to stream. I cannot stream 1080p60 on any setting and really want to get to that level.
  5. As others have stated, no reason to go with an FX processor. Snag a new Ryzen CPU and you would probably fine with the rest of the build.
  6. Yeah I have used a different monitor that uses an old connector with no luck either. I'm thinking this is a MOBO issue unfortunately.
  7. Nobody has any input on this? My next step will be to tear it down completely, removing CPU/cooler. I don't want to have to do this if I don't have to!
  8. Hello everyone! I am creating this thread in the hopes that I can get somewhere with my computer not displaying problem. Here's the information - I started noticing intermittently that my computer, when powered on, would not show anything on my TV display about 3-4 months ago. I would power it on, nothing would show up, I would power it down and back on until something came up on the screen. Usually it would only take a couple of tries and it would work. There were never any error messages or anything abnormal, the computer would just not display on my television (via HDMI). It had been working fine for about a year without issue. Well it eventually became much worse than intermittently, and now does not show up to a display at all. Also noticed my error code display on MOBO does not light up anymore, but all other components seem to be working fine. What I have tried doing: - Resetting CMOS - Taking mobo battery out/in - Replaced power supply CX600 to Supernova 550 G2 - Re-seated everything except CPU/Air cooler - Tried removing one of my RAM sticks, then the other - Made sure HDMI cables work - Plugged HDMI into MOBO after removing GPU to see if integrated graphics would work System is in signature. Would really love some advice on what to try now.
  9. I do not have any drivers that need to be updated. I really can't figure this one out gentlemen!
  10. Graphics card drivers I update as soon as new ones come, so not long ago. Are there other drivers I need to consider?
  11. Hello LTT'ers! Let me preface by giving information about my setup - I use my PC and my Xbox connected through a Kinevo HDMI switch to a TV. The cables work fine, the switch works fine, but I am having trouble getting anything to display now from my PC. I noticed a problem about 6 months ago when it would occasionally not turn on, and to correct the problem I would just keep turning off/on my computer until the display would finally show up. Now it does not come on at all. Xbox works fine, HDMI cables from TV to Xbox both work so I know it isn't a problem there. I cannot figure out what's going on! I have tried plugging in the HDMI into the motherboard slot, as well as the GPU slot. Neither work. I have cleared the cmos and that did nothing either. Any other ideas for me to try? Thanks!
  12. I ended up buying the Cloud 2's from Amazon today. Will let you know what I think of them. Am replacing a busted pair of TB Recon X50's. Second pair of TB's to break on me and won't be going that route again!
  13. Noctua, all day every day. I have the NF F12's in my case and they're virtually silent.
  14. There are no good candidates in the field. There haven't been for many years.
