  1. just download the ML08 manual it does support Bluray drives. I'm sold.
  2. I checked them out beforehand the QBX has a little too much plastic and the node 202 is built almost identically to the ML08.
  3. So I have a Ryzen build in the works on paper. I have most of the parts set in stone except for the Case/CPU cooler and that primarily due to portability/ possible thermal issues. I also have a slim Blu-ray drive which will have to be used externally on the Silverstone case vs internally on the fractal with my bracket. mainly to rip my Blu-ray collection to offload to my home server. I don't go to LAN parties much but I like the separate chamber design on the Silverstone. core 500 pros Blu-ray drive support small shoe box design better drive support cons components crammed in small space possible thermal issues as a result Milo pros slim design handle for transport separate chambers for GPU and CPU Cons no DVD drive support for ripping blurays https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7kzsMZ https://pcpartpicker.com/product/LvnG3C/fractal-design-case-fdcacore500bk https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6htWGX/silverstone-case-sstml08bh
  4. I'm building a new system, Would it be safe to say that the R9 295x2 is the best single card solution at the moment? Now that windows 10 with directx12 is said to let you use the full 8Gb of VRAM versus 4Gb mirrored on direct x11.
  5. The reason I bought the bundle was 1.both parts were brand new and 2. The cost of the 5930k alone is 500+ bucks and I basically get a free 960 out of the deal. Also I will be learning about video editing in my computer studies degree later this year Regardless of which CPU I pick I will be pairing it with Single card (ex. GTX 980 or the R9 290) I also don't plan of upgrading parts in this rig for the next 4-5 years I plan to finish the system within the next 3 months as that when my first video editing class is scheduled to start. parts being recycled for possible X99 build: 750 PSU Parts being recycled for possible Z97 build : 750 PSU, 16GB (2x8GB) of 1866mhz RAM
  6. I recently purchased a NEW 5930k/GTX 960 bundle for $500 because it was too good a deal to pass up.The 960 is going to go into my current G3258 media center. I no longer build full tower systems nor do I use more than a Single card solution for my GPU so my Dilemma is the following 1. Sell the 5930k for a 4790k and build my mini ITX gaming system in a Corsair 250D or Build a x99 system Micro ATX system in my current 350D or 3. go nuts and build an X99 ITX system in my 250D with this motherboard http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/X99E-ITXac/ and this RAM http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-PC4-2133-Registered-288-Pin-CT16G4RFD4213/dp/B00KK8XNLA/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1428445157&sr=1-6&keywords=16gb+ddr4
  7. got two of these to test and they work the exact same way the phantom glass does for much less. Already testes it on my wife's iPhone. http://www.amazon.de/33MM-d%C3%BCnn-Screen-Protector-Gorilla/dp/B00ISQAG9S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410900076&sr=8-1&keywords=phantom+glass+screen+protector
  8. I'm aware of the performance drop but it isn't too significant when gaming at 1080p resolution plus if the next models pricing are any indication of what the current models were when they were first released I'd be paying an extra 200-300 bucks for a reference 880. at least with EVGA I could upgrade within 90 of purchase with their step up program in the performance is really that great.
  9. I have a pair of Gigabyte GTX 760 4GB and they have great performance nice but noisy. I'm opting for the EVGA 780 6GB or hopefully the 780 ti variant they claim to be working on sometime next month. on another note anyone need a pair of 760 4GB?
  10. The gaming versions of the brix are okay but they have issues when cooling is concerned. Look in the Zotac E series for gaming which is perfect for 1080p gaming on a T.V. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KX8OX2K/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me= Though personally I'm holding out for an 870m or 880m version of these or the brix. If nothing else drop by Black Friday I may cave for the Zotac.
  11. I'm currently playing at 2560x1600 with my 760's at a respectable 45+ fps with it and 60+fps in some older games. Since a some of the current games use more VRAM vs actual processing power of GPU. I figured I could cut down on noise whilst getting similar performance. Since my AMD cards are unable to use Physx (I'm a sucker for detailed explosions) and I only have an i5 running at stock speeds I'll be going with he 780 6GB. ASUS Strix or EVGA version?
  12. I got one with the intention of getting a second. It was an error on my part believing that since the Mars 760 matched the titan I figured a pair of 760's with more VRAM would be better. Rookie mistake.
  13. I have a pair of Gigabyte GTX 760 4GB Windforce cards and gaming on them is phenomenal, But I've encountered a problem I didn't think would annoy me that much initial but has started to: Acoustics. They're too loud even when idle. I'm recent PC gamer convert but the idea of gaming in general doesn't really appeal to me anymore when I have school, work and wife and child to take of ( I know blasphemy). I'm looking probably downsize to an ITX later. but right I really need to eliminate the noise coming from system. I'm trying to break even so that's why I haven't gone with the 290x or the 780ti. System specs are in my profile. http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-VAPOR-X-PCI-Express-Graphics-11227-04-40G/dp/B00JJJW4Z2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1409436668&sr=8-2&keywords=sapphire+r9+290 or http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-384-Bit-Graphics-06G-P4-3787-KR/dp/B00K699CRW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1409436794&sr=8-1&keywords=evga+gtx+780+6gb
  14. Hi guys I'm having a similar problem. Both cards are detected, but they won't run together in SLI mode. Both GPU's have the same bios version and same driver update. I sent gigabyte a ticket, but I think I'll get a faster response from the community about it.
