  1. No I am not talking about piracy. I got the iso through the microsoft insider program. Anyone with an ms account can download it. Problem is it is the home edition unactivated. Microsoft does have 180 day trial keys for windows 11 x64 only though from what I can find. So the question is has anyone purchased a windows 11 key through the microsoft store yet on the m1 pro? I see it available. But rather wanted to see if anyone had leads on keys for Win1 11 arm that are 180 day trial compatible so that I could actually test windows 11 arm pro instead of forking out $200 for an insider build of windows.
  2. Has anyone figured out the best way to activate windows 11 ARM Build to be a Windows 11 Pro build? There is the Windows 11 ARM Preview build from insider preview that I downloaded and am running with parallels on my mac. It is working great. But I can not use it for work which really sucks. I need to be able to join a local domain and I can only do that with a pro copy of windows 11. That being said how do I get the only install option the Windows 11 Arm Insider preview build to be upgraded to Windows 11 pro? This latest Arm build does come with the Microsoft App store. I see that when I search to upgrade from windows 10/11 pro its $200. I have always been able to get windows keys cheaper than that. I was hoping I could at least test windows 11 pro out before purchasing. I have found some pages with 180 trial product keys but they do not work for the Windows 11 Arm builds of-course. Hoping someone has figured something out or can confirm they paid for pro as the only way. The key should then be tied to my MS account at least i hope that way If I ever upgrade or loose this VM I still have a key.. Thanks,
  3. I figured it out. I had to set the SAS SSD as a Raidable Drive even though it was not going to be RAIDED or part of the V Disk. I made sure I had Boot to C Drive checked and hard disk fail over I believe is checked as well now. and it boots into the OS Correctly.
  4. Hello Everyone, I am really hoping somebody with Dell server Experience can help me. I have an R430 with 3 4TB SAS HDD's that I have configured in RAID 0 with the h330 Mini Raid controller. I also have a 800GB SAS drive that I want to use as the boot drive as it has windows server 2019 installed on it. After I changed to Raid those 3 drives i can no longer see the SSD as a boot option. And I get an error that says cannot boot from C Drive or something along those lines. Essentially The SSD is not a boot option and it can never find a drive with an OS to boot to. How do i fix this so i can boot from the SSD while having those 3 Drives raided for storage. The Boot mode is set to Bios currently and it was able to boot before the RAID CHanges as i said. And the SSD is not configured as a raid capable drive.
  5. It says i have to activate windows before i can edit acount settings. and this time around i ditched the id and went with local host. trying to activate windows 10 pro. My old OS was 8.1 pro I originally had windows 10 activated from one time use of 8.1 key for upgrade with media creation tool. This key does not work for already being on windows 10 for activation. I do have a Microsoft account that i used last time but now it wont let me sign in with that. everything seems locked down un-activated.
  6. As the title says i need to figure out how to activate windows 10 after reinstalling because of corrupt upgrade from 8.1. Originally I did not do a clean install and just upgraded from windows 8.1 with media creation tool. The installation somehow got corrupted and i HAD to do a fresh install because my task bar and other shit wouldn't work. Now my old windows 8.1 key does not activate windows 10 (as it once did.) So what do i do? Any help would be appreciated Microsoft blows.
  7. No, it is just a standard disk drive download.
  8. Update: Just tried putting acpi on auto and saving and resetting. Computer did not restart on its own had to manually rebot. Extra Info: Intel z87 evga stinger motherboard. I5 4690k.
  9. I checked the Bios and ACPI was turned on but not auto. Then i went in to windows and checked for acpi in device manager and it was there and looking good.
  10. Just Tried clearing CMOS and it worked and reset it but didnt restart one its own! had to manually shut it down and start it up again. What could this be...
  11. It was not restarting even when installing windows. Hardware has not changed sense then.
  12. Resetting CMOS? would this be pushing the CMOS button and clearing it? I will give that a try.
  13. Hello, I am currently having a problem with my new pc build. Every time I restart the computer it hangs and will not go in to windows. It just sits on with fans spinning doing nothing. Not even launching into bios. Could this be because of hardware? Something that is loose? The PC boots perfectly from start and has windows installed. Notes: While we were installing windows on the computer it had the same problems. So when windows required a restart at all in the process it would hang and we would have to shut it off and start it up manually. Does anybody know if this could be the problem leaving windows permanently corrupt so it could not restart properly? Or anything else that could be the cause of this problem? Any help is appreciated thanks guys.
