Always wanted an E92

I was considering an E82 because they're a bit cheaper to run and have some hand-me-down parts from the 1M (on the 135i, like the better front brakes), but the E92 is just too pretty to ignore. I can deal with the slightly higher insurance costs.

Kind of accepted that it will have to be a DCT auto rather than a manual as the manual ones are so rare.

Yep. 

I ideally would like a manual one, but they're hard to come across and expensive at decent mileage. DCT autos are more common and since I found out you can replace the paddles with nicer aluminium ones, it doesn't bother me too much. 

It's a good compromise especially for something to drive everyday IMO

Yeah, people say the DCT is good in the 335i. I also do about 300 miles a week commuting to work, so probably quite nice to just be able to cruise along without needing to change gear manually.
