I CANNOT get a connection to the work servers. The only time I can actually get something is by manually initiating a start up through the web client but once the WU is done my PC crashes or the client will just sit there empty. I am completly lost. Someone please help. I'm new to folding and don't fully understand the client yet so try to keep it simple.

I fixed the problem using the web client

I just run the client and it usually connects and I haven't had a problem til now.

I restarted my PC, the client, and checked the port number but nothing was out of place. The only thing I did between the time it was working and not was when I put in the pass key but other than that I don't know what happened.

I've been trying to connect to the work servers since last night and I just cant get anything. I have put in the passkey and the team number in the folding@home client, but how do I link my forum account with my folding@home to get the badge and all that?

If this is for gaming certainly go for Option 2. It's future proof since it's new and an Extreme edition i7 is overkill for gaming. Now if you're doing a lot of rendering then go for the 5930k, otherwise the 6700k should serve you fine.

Okay, first off here's my build: Intel Pentium G3258 @4.3 GHz @ 1.2 volts PNY GTX 750 ti XLR8 Edition @ Stock speeds MSi Z97 PCMate mobo 8gbs of Crucial Ballistics DDR3 RAM and a 550 watt PSU I want to upgrade a part, but only have about $350-400 bucks to do so. I need to know, should I upgrade my GPU (to a GTX 970), or my CPU (Preferably an Intel 4770k or 4790k)? Personally I assume I should go for the GPU but I'd like some advice from some more experienced members of the community.

I would LOVE to have those AKG K7XX Massdrop Edition Headphones because my nice headphones recently broke and since they were imported will not be covered under the warranty.
