I am on the brink of purchasing a new graphics card and am struggling a little bit with price/perf. While I have scoured the internet for reviews and benchmarks (which differ interestingly enough) the thing I am looking for here are personal opinions i.e. what would you do.
Currently the prices available where I live (latvia) are as follows:
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 OC, 4GB GDDR5 : 206 EUR
Gigabyte Radeon R9 380, 4GB GDDR5 (256 Bit) : 218 EUR
Gigabyte Radeon R9 380X, 4GB GDDR5 : 237 EUR
As you can see the prices align along the relative performance of these cards almost perfectly (retailers around here seem to be very aware of how much each card is worth).
Which card would you go for, assuming the prices listed above? I have heard that you can OC 960 quite nicely and maybe it will land in the 380 area of performance. But with future in mind an 240 EUR being absolutely MAX I am willing to spend on a card, is 380X worth it?
The games I am looking to play mostly are Witcher 3/Batman: Arkham Knight
P.S. before the 290/280x/390 recommendations start rolling in, these are either unavailable or priced a lot higher than the cards listed above. Used card market is not that kind either.
