  1. Mainly small arms, it's just a hobby so I work with what schematics I can find. I have a few videos of them on YouTube. Here and here. they're not the best but they're also my first and I'm fairly proud of them.
  2. I've mainly been working with the explicit dynamics for ballistic simulations.
  3. Hey everyone! I was wondering if there would be any way to test the new Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor to run some research simulations in the ANSYS software. This would be very pertinent to my hobby as I've been looking at getting a Phi card to help speed up the simulations since they regularly take a good portion of a day to run. Another thing i would be interested in is seeing how ANSYS runs with AMD FirePro cards or Nvidia Quadro cards.
  4. The card was previously owned. I've double (and triple and quadruple) checked all the connections. The computer recognizes that there are two identical cards in the system, it just won't give me the option to put them in SLI. Actually, it occasionally works but then stops working on reboot. Also, thanks for the replies guys. I appreciate it. Edit: I got it working by removing the drivers and installing outdated ones. Hopefully stable.
  5. yes i did, I'm not that tired yet
  6. Hey there guys I'm having trouble getting my two 660's to work in SLI. They dont always show up as being in sli but they do show up individually in nvidia control panel. This problem has only been a recent occurrence. Some things to note are that they are both msi twin frozr cards with one being the OC variant. my system configuration can be seen in the imgur album. http://imgur.com/a/0I1Aq?

  8. Okay thanks! I think I'll be able to figure it out from here.
  9. I'm talking about how the Web server knows which website to give back, I've setup the Apache file structure with the 2 websites but I'm a bit lost on anything past that.
  10. Yeah its being hosted at home, I'm mainly confused about pointing the domain name to my ip address and how that's going to work with multiple websites being hosted. I'm used to having someone like hostgator hosting the server and it was pretty much plug and play.
  11. Hey there so I've been trying to setup an old server to host a few websites. Its been mostly going fine but I'm really confused on how to point the domains at the server? Any help on the matter would be apreciated
  12. Hey everyone so I live in the town of Los Gatos and have been with Comcast for about 5 years now and would love to switch to another ISP. The only problem is that they are basically the only ones that serve Los Gatos. I've searched and searched but all the other ISPs are extremely expensive like a couple of grand for a 768Kb/S connection. So after a couple days of searching i decided to come here and see if anyone knew of an ISP that can save me from the evil Comcast monster. Oh and los gatos has fiber optic cable in theground that spans the whole town.
  13. My favorite part of the Z2 is the fact that its aluminum and glass rather than plastic. My favorite aspect of dbrand is that they're not made in china.

    SAS 3Gb/s

Hmm good to know. They couldn't possibly be louder than the Window mounted cooling units scattered throughout my house. but definitely something for me to consider
  15. Hey everyone! So I've been looking around on eBay at numerous used servers in the sub 300 category. Since most of these servers are on the older side they come with SAS 3Gb/s raid controllers and i was wondering if this would be fast enough for running a handful of virtual machines that will be running some small game servers and a couple of websites. If it helps One model of server in particular was the HP Proliant DL580 G5. I also might be able to get my hands on four 400GB SAS 3Gb/s SSDs.
