    Yes, while you can get away with not formatting you OS, it is possible that you will get a BSOD on boot.

    This sounds VERY weird. Sometimes with my Ubuntu install (which ment is based on) will boot up to a weird terminal. Have you tried the startx command? This should start the display server and let you start up applications or packages in Mint. Edit: Also when I stuffed up in Ubuntu I would just reinstall the whole OS. Even small things like not knowing to uninstall stuff.

    Try OpenShot but I would wait a month or 2 for the 2.0 release. 2.0 is bringing a huge amount of features. It's going to be a lot better than the Movie maker thing it seemed to be before.

    What do you find that Chrome does wrong? For me Firefox has been crashing a lot for the last month (but I found out yesterday it was because of an Add-on crashing it)

    If they are the same (or similar) performance wise then I would get the 750 Ti because it uses the new Maxwell Arch so it has better energy use. My two cents

    I would say that because I think it's the better option. It doesn't cost that much more to get a headset with a mic compared to a headset without one. Also I hate having to have an external mic sitting on my table. I'd much rather just get a headset.

    Well I did here that Ubuntu is making desktop apps work on phones. Maybe you need the latest image and maybe to find the beta program or something maybe. I've seen people run the Ubuntu phone apps on desktop

    I know phone's are tech. I am not an idiot. I'm just saying I don't care as much about phone reviews as I do about PC gear. PC gear brought me to Linus and it will keep me around. Sure I don't mind a phone review every now and then, but it should still be PC focused IMO

    Yeah but there is no gaming laptops for that price. Maybe there is a laptop for that price that may be able to play some games on low settings but they are not gaming laptops.

    I know in Ubuntu 14.04 it is reeeaally easy to install drivers. Maybe you want to check that out? I just went to settings -> Software & updates -> Additional drivers Best of luck.

    Metro:last light 8.5/10 Awesome game and it runs natively on Linux.
