  1. Update. I thought maybe having the 2 different ports was causing issues so I re-pinned them to 1 port, and I still see them in CAM but cant customize anything.
  2. sorry i shoulda been more specific. I meant, get it to recognize the 2nd block. I see them both for lighting and everything else but I cant get the lights on the block to work. Everything is plugged in, everything is hooked up to power and the MB but the LED's dont come on.
  3. yes everything is hooked up and can be seen in CAM
  4. Does anyone have any experience running dual kraken AIO's? I purchased the G12 mod for my GPU and slapped a x42 on it along with another on my CPU but I cant get Cam to recognize the 2nd. Anyone know of a method to do so?
  5. Hi, I'm looking and planning on upgrading my current Plex machine. Currently using a r5 1600 with 16 Gbs ram, 980 ti, and lots of storage. Since Ryzen prices have dropped quite a bit, looking to upgrade the CPU to something more powerful for on the fly transcoding. Hardware acceleration is still not there so I can see my 980 ti being overkill at the moment. Any recommendations for under $250 US? I'm looking into directly upgrading from the 1600 to the 3600 but I'm not sure if I should go First gen Threadripper, 1920x. Any help is appreciated.
  6. I paid 620 for my hybrid 1080 ti I did the same with the 780 ti and the 980 ti Each were ~350 when the newer model was released.
  7. wait for the 2k series and see where they stand. I'm sure the prices of 1070's and 80's will drop more once the benchmarks of the 2K series come out.
  8. Your long shot was not in vain. Before posting, I was noticing a straight 90%+ network usage on both ends with only the HTPC crashing. Now its fluctuating from as low as 10% to as high as 90% after the power save option was checked off. So Yes, going to the network properties of the NIC and changing the power management from "sleep" to "full use" is currently working. I'm about 30gb into the 200gb file transfer I'm testing. Update - it worked. I had no issue what so ever. Transfer took long but I was expecting that. Thanks for the input. Couldn't have thought to check the power management. I'll update this when I do another major back up/transfer.

10. Here's the set up. 2 PC's both hardwired to the same router. Both PC's next to one another. I mainly do everything from my main rig and transfer files over the wired network. The problem is when I transfer large files and sets of files (usually over 10gb's) the connection to the HTPC gets lost. I check whats going on and I get the little triangle warning that I have no internet access nor can I connect again to the HTPC from any means except directly using it. The only way I've been able to get it back to work is to restart the entire machine. From there I have to transfer the files slowly and in chunks which takes up time. I've used thumb drives mostly for my photos and projects, but its tidious doing 2 transfers when i can simply do 1. Lastly, I dont know why, but it doesnt always happen. I've done it plenty of times where the transfers go thru but other times, they just dont. I just dont get it. Here's some info. HTPC is as fresh as it can be. I have very little on it. I never have any activity on it except when using Plex and/or transferring photos and projects (when backing them up). That's usually once a month for the back ups, but plex is daily. Here's what I've done so far. 1 - I've tested PC to PC via ethernet. It works. I cant do that because my main rig is an ITX build. Only 1 pci-e slot. 2 - I've currently have the Folders shared to where I want them. I didnt do anything fancy with them just a simple share to network. 3 - I've tried Homegroup. Same issue. 4 - Drivers are updated 5 - bought a network card, same issue even with updated drivers. 6 - I have the following network set up :: Asus RT-AC66U_B1 router and a Netgear CM700 modem. 7 - Both machines are windows 10. Updated with latest drivers for everything I can think of. 8 - I have the sharing options set up within windows so I can see all my devices from any machine on the network. 9 - I'm no network pro nor noob but I have gone thru the router settings and I cant find anything that is causing the issue, but then again I dont understand everything under the network "hood" I cant think of anything else. Please help. This is driving me nuts.
  11. Ya it was the MST setting. Went back and looked up what those settings were and MST lets you daisy chain 2 monitors to the single one. Anyways. Thanks again!
  12. Something you said made me think and check something out. I think I may have fixed it. inside the monitor settings I turned off 2 settings :: Uniformity Compensation and MST :: and it seemed to fix it. I'll try some games and get back to the post. Thanks guys!
  13. I was initially but then went and found w/e drivers Dell had to offer, and fixed the Hz to 60... still having the same problem. Im running a Display Cable to a 980 ti
  14. Hi, I just bought a new Dell 4K P2715Q 27-Inch for content creation and light gaming, until i replace my decade old Asus 24 inch and LG IPS. Basically, I'm seeing lots of "input lag", drag,? I really dont know how to describe it. Its noticeable in several resolutions from 4K, down to 1080p. I see it a lot in videos, when I move the mouse, basically everything.. At times it "syncs" up back to any audio but goes back to it. Am I just seeing the difference of +~5ms response from the other monitors compared to this one?
  15. definitely under 350. anything more than that might as well get a 1070 with a solid after market cooler.
