  1. Hi, a friend of mine just got accepted to a uni and she will need something portable to use there and home. Budget is under 400-500 euros. I was looking for laptops in that price range but I really wanted to throw in an SSD for that price but none of the laptops I found have one in them, thats either big enough or it is combined with a hard drive. Is the Dell Inspiron 5566 any good? Its going to be used for Office applications and Web Browsing. It has a core i3 7100U, 8GB of ram and a questionable 1TB hard drive since I cant find its RPM anywhere. Thanks!
  2. Hi, I had the v5 version of this router and it died. I bought another one, and apparently the V7 version doesnt come with bandwidth control, which is a huge bummer because I was using that for controlling traffic on my network. Does anyone know if I can achieve the same thing with QoS? I want to just prioritize gaming over everything on my network (WIFI and other computers) Thanks! EDIT: I have my computer on a static IP and I have left the rest of the devices dynamic. My network speed:
  3. Hello! I haven't posted anything here for a few months. I am currently using a mix of 500gb/1tb drives for storage on my computer. Most of them are ~4 years old and I have all of my files copied on at least two drives for redundacy. Its just so annoying trying to find files and such and I've decided to move forward and go for an as cheap as possible external configuration. I need about 3 TB worth of files copied on there and I'm guessing another 3 TB for backup? What should I go for? I've thought about two options, either buying a NAS chassis or buy an old computer (say something like core2duo) and setup unraid on it with some cheap sata cards. What do you think I should choose? I dont really care about speed, my files are old projects that I dont need to access that often. Thanks!
  4. Hi, forgot to update the thread. I bought the AKG K92s. So far I really like them, I have been using them for roughly a week. I'd say for the money that it was a really nice investment. I tried to compare them to my old earbuds and I was completely blown away by how much better these sound. I didnt know what I was missing this whole time. Thank you for your help guys.
  5. I sadly can't... I am planning on ordering them through the internet since most stores here usually have only really expensive headphones available for you to try out (Sennheiser HD 800s were the only thing available for testing out when I visited a store last week).
  6. Hello I was looking for new headphones, and I was wondering if it actually matters what I choose. I was basically looking for some closed headphones, since I feel bad for people that have to deal with sounds coming out of my headphones and I am on a really tight budget. Any thoughts on what I should get (yes yes I know that I have really limited options with that budget). Do you have any suggestions? They will be mostly used for ,well, everything ranging from listening to music, light gaming and video editing (rarely). I am not that big of an audiophile myself I usually always end up buying 10-15$ earbuds but this time I wanted to see if it is worth moving upwards the budget ladder. Here are some of the headphones I was looking at: AKG K92 - 59€ Audio Technica Pro 5 Mk2 ~ 70€where I live Sennheiser HD 419 ~ 70€ Do you have any suggestions on what I should be aiming for? Most of the headphones on the pinned thread are either way higher or way lower than my budget. Thanks in advance

  8. Hello friends! I have a really old & slow computer on my hands , that has the following: 120GB HDD some sort 2GB ram CPU is an AMD sempron 3600+ Single Core It is currently running windows XP SP3 and it is kinda slow. The casing is some HP so my guess it was a pre built system. Will upgrading to windows 10 be worth it, or should I just reformat it using Windows XP SP3? The owners have no clue how to deal with issues , so I want to install something that is going to last on a long run. Thanks in advance.
  9. Update: Hm, seems like I cant get my usb drive to split in partitions in any way. Will look further, but if anyone has any suggestions I will appreciate them a lot
  10. Well, my orignal plan was to buy 2 different drives and install on the one my windows 7 iso and on the other one my windows 10. Now that I ended up buying one, the files are the same so the installers get reaaally confused when I try to install either of the versions. So, I want to have 2 partitions and maybe 4 to fit some linux distros aswell. We will see. Thank you for the information (will post update at some point)
  11. Hi, so I just purchased a new flash drive, the KINGSTON DT100G3/32GB. It is really solid, and for its price it has really nice speeds. I was wondering if it was possible to say, make a seperate partition on it (8GB) and burn an ISO file to that. Is that possible in any way, if so will it work? I was thinking of splitting it through the windows disk management feature. PS: Holy crap, its either been a long time since I've been here or its a new layout. Looks pretty darn good!
  12. Hello and happy new year, so yesterday I put my computer in sleep mode, and after around an hour I tried to boot it back on. So, I pressed the button and waited patiently, but after a minute of no post and the computer being on, I decided to dig further. It turns out that my computer can no longer boot using the kingston 8gb 1866 cl10 stick that I have been running on it for a while. Although it does boot with other RAM sticks in single channel, I decided to use one of my old Kingston ram sticks (2gb) and combine it with my new ram the 8gb stick. The computer boots just fine now, and everything seems to be OK. Does anyone know why my 8GB stick wont run in single channel by itself? Is it the ram being the issue, or did something happen with my motherboard? Thanks in advance. PS: The combinations I have tried: --- Ram Stick 1 (1) Kingston HX318C10FB/8 8GB DDR3 Ram Stick 2 (2) Kingston KVR1333D3n9/2G Ram Stick 3 (3) Kingston KVR1333D3N9/2G --- Using (1): boot failed, can not post at all Using (2) + (3) : successful boot, ram working fine (running them on the same channel) Using (1) + (2): successful boot, ram working fine (both sticks running 1333mhz) (running them on the same channel_) Using (1) + (2) + (3): boot failed, cannot post ( Sticks 2,3 dual channel and Stick 1 single channel)
  13. You can try avast malwarebytes and adwcleaner. Works for me everytime.
  14. Thank you for the quick answer. Can I count on flashing a custom BIOS, if there is one? Is it too risky, if I keep a copy of the current one?
  15. Hello and happy new year, so I own this card for around a month, and I really like it. I wanted to push it a bit further, just for fun, but I really cannot unlock the voltage. I have tried every possible way I found online, enabling things such as "unlock voltage control & unlock voltage monitoring" as well as enabling unofficial overclocking mode via the .cfg file in the installation path. Nothing seems to be working though, so I'm a bit lost. Any suggestions on what I should do to unlock it? The software I use (you guessed it ) is MSI Afterburner. These are my general settings Thanks in advance , and again happy new year to all of you
