  1. I'm building my first PC here in the new couple of weeks & i've been going back & forth between the Seagate Barracuda & WD Black. I've been reading reviews on both of the drives & a lot of people have been saying that the Seagate Barracuda dies after about a year of use. Now on the other hand, people have been saying the WD Black is very noisy. So the main question I have is, is the WD Black worth the extra money?
  2. Never really thought of it that way, even though that's exactly the difference, lol Like I said, noob question.
  3. Makes sense. Why centered text, you may ask? Personal preference, I suppose
  4. So.. I know this is a noob question, but I am curious. Is there any real advantage to having your PSU pulling air from inside the case or having it pull air from the outside? The only thing I can think of is if your cables aren't long enough. Thoughts?
  5. I updated the parts list a bit.
  6. Well, I plan on building my first PC here soon around the Black Friday/Christmas time & I thought i'd post it here to hear people's feedback. Updated: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bzfQkL Budget Wise: I'm hoping that some of my selected parts will go on sale & will help keep the cost around $2,000. Purpose: Mostly gaming & HOPEFULLY streaming. Monitors: I was looking at the ASUS RoG Swift PG278Q since I'll have enough horsepower to run it comfortably & also because it's on sale. BUT, I have been doing a bit of research & one thing that I have been seeing a lot of, is that the quality control is very poor. Peripherals: I'm still looking to see what I really want in a keyboard & mouse, but I at least know that I will most likely go with Cherry MX Browns.
  7. This is my first actual post, so please bear with me, lol Anyways, I plan on building my first PC soon & with the hardware that I've chosen so far (Subject to Change) I'm looking for a good G-Sync, 1440p, 144hz monitor that won't make me have to sell my car to afford. I came across Linus' review on it & I liked it. I did a little more research & I found that there is a long list problems that people are having with this monitor. The main reason I started this thread was because this specific monitor is on sale on newegg & I'm not sure If I should buy it now, or possibly find something better? So the question I have is, does anyone have any experience with this monitor &/or other suggestions for another monitor? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236405&cm_re=asus_rog_swift_pg278q-_-24-236-405-_-Product
