Plugged in my NZXT RGB strips into my Auro RGB header on my new mobo (pins looked identical), it lit up, I assumed it worked, I spent like 45 min redoing cable management plugging into that instead of using my Hue+. Turns out its not actually supported, not detected by software, and only turns on some of the time. Had to redo everything I just changed. Quick way to waste over an hour.

    I'm shocked that the strip didn't die completely, the NZXT Hue strips are 5V and the Aura RGB header is 12V

    Yeah my immediate first thought when it didn't turn on was that I killed the strip or strips.

    Also worth noting when the strips did turn on they did seem extremely bright. way brighter than they are now.
