  1. Hey everyone, first of all thank you for reading my post and hopefully trying to help me.

I live in Venezuela and unfortunately our internet issues are as bad as they can get, together with our government.

I can't play online with my ADSL Internet as I can't have a fun experience, my only choice is to browse the internet and play online with my LTE connection via hotspot, however I can barely get 6 mb download speed and 100/150ms ping during the day, at night the LTE gets better giving me 30+ mb download and 15+ upload with 90ms ping, unfortunately I can't always play with my 4G hotspot as it will always give me a strict nat so playing COD is out of my list. I tried to fix my ADSL and was able to achieve

                                          Downstream              Upstream

    SNR Margin:             27.3db                              14.1db

    Line Attenuation:    9.0db                                 4.8db

    Data Rate:                  4864kbps                         959kbps

My speedtest gives me 110ms 3.71mb down and 0.77mb up

So far seems kind of stable, I wonder if I upgrade my internet to 8mb will I be able to play just fine? As of right now my internet is barely going down. Is my line capable of handling 8mb of speed without losing stability? The things I've tried to fix this are incredible, to achieve an open nat using my 4g hotspot I had to buy an android phone just to use it as a modem, root the phone, install vpn hotspot, subscribe to a premium vpn

  2. Hello everyone. I really need help with this problem and would be very grateful if you helped me.
I accidentally took out my MicroSd card from my phone, when I tried to put it back in it wouldn't read it so I went ahead and plugged it to the computer, when I try to access it it says "The disk in drive H is not formatted. Do you want to format it no?" I always press no.
Here's what it says in the Disk ManagementupQdxG5.png

Please I really need the data back any help will be much appreciated?

  3. Hello everyone, so just about tonight I found out about Internet bonding, saw a video from a guy named Nerdgasm, and then another one from Linus, I saw they both used a device and connected two different ethernet cables from two different modems and it seemed like that device combined both internet connections and provided one including both speeds. So my question is, will this work as I suppose it should work? Like having double download speed and upload?

I'm from Venezuela, unfortunately we have a monopoly in terms of basic services such as electricity, internet, etc. I already got the maximum internet speed I could have in this country, in the black market I end up paying somewhere around $3 usd a month for a 10mb down and 1mb up, it's not awful but not the best, I was wondering If I get that bonding device and connected two modems providing 10mb each one or maybe one 10mb and the other one 6mb, will I end up getting 20mb down or 16mb down? I want to download games faster on my Xbox One, will this be the solution?

Btw I already have two phone numbers at my house, so I just have to activate the internet on my other phone number and get that bonding device. Bear in mind that for me there's no such thing as paying more for more speed as I already have the maximum speed in the whole country.

    Thank you

Back it all up anyways. I had flown to LA and had shot a bunch of photos and video out there. I was saving to an external hard drive, and everything was fine and dandy. When I got home the drive was all sorts of corrupted. Photos and videos were not in the right places, videos cut out half way through with lots of artifacting, if they even played at all. The strange thing was it was only for certain folders, not the entire drive. However, when I tried to copy the contents to a new drive, every time it would come to a corrupted file it would stall out and more or less crash. I took it to a local computer shop to see if there was any physical damage to the platters or anything, he ran some tests and tried using some of his stuff to pull the data off the drive and nothing worked. He said he had never seen anything like that. I told him that I had been flying with it, and he said it's possible, though very rare, that the magnets and black magic in the security scanners could have caused the drive to go bonkers like that. Also, since you're flying into the States from the Middle East, I would take any precautions against invasive TSA agents.

I'll fly to the States from Venezuela. I'll be there for few days and then fly to the Middle East! I will buy few other usbs to back everything up and leave them here. You had an external hard drive or a normal hard drive?

Oh wow, ignore my post then, but still i dont think you'll get checked.

THey need a legal order from a judge in order to even turn on your computer/phone. you are safe

I've read that they are allowed to check them without any order

" No surprises here: according to a 2008 ruling made in a federal court, customs agents at U.S. airports can inspect the contents of passengers’ laptop computers. They don’t even need any evidence to do so. The Ninth US Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco declared a computer to be no different to a suitcase, car or any other property subject to search at an international border.

Wouldn't be able to say, too afraid of going there. Just use common sense. I have been through Frankfurt London Cairo Amsterdam Toronto and have not had issues with my luggage.

I have been to Italy and France more than once for step-over flights and never had an issue but i don't know the laws of the US lol

Depends on where you are exactly, and a court order may be easier to come by than you think.

I will go to Miami for 2 hours and then take a plane to NY. I'm currently in Venezuela

its  fine, youre allowed to bring those on the plane

Thank you. I just want to know if security is allowed to check my personal information in there

I did work at an airport in Spain :P And i know that we are freer-er here than there (USA) when being able to do searches and such. Still OP will be fine 150% sure.

Forgot to mention i won't take with me a laptop!

    I wouldnt worry about it

If they were to check your harddrive they would have to stop every single person passing by for hours.

You're right but i don't know what could happen i may get too unlucky xD what is considered illegal in the States? Forgot to mention i'm travelling with my father, his spouse and my brother so it would be embarrasing if they checked my personal stuff if you know what i mean

  8. Hey everyone. I will travel to the United States in may for the first time, i'll be there for few days and then head to the Middle East. Since i'll be for a few months in the Middle East i wanted to take with me my external hard drive with everything in it. What concerns me is would the security at the airport take it from me or check everything in it? I have a lot of personal things such as, pictures, chat history, memos and stuff like that. What would be illegal inside of it? I have pictures of friends and don't know i'm kinda concerned. I'm so paranoic i want to get myself another external hard drive to back up my other external hard drive and leave it here just in case lmao

I will take it inside the box that came with it. Would look exactly like this: "see attached file"

Also i'm taking my Xbox One, PS4 and few pendrives and micro sd cards (like 10 in total)

  9. Hey! Im planning to get this external hdd to back up all my memories and all my stuff.

Is it reliable? Its a WD My Passport Ultra 1TB. I see it says

    • Automatic and cloud backup

I don't want it to back up to the cloud I just want to use it to copy and paste files manually. Can I deactivate the automatic back up?

  10. I'm a fairly casual gamer. I love to play GTA 5, Minecraft, and the Witcher 3.

Minecraft is completely playable with my current setup, but GTA 5 is a bit of a struggle and the Witcher 3 is really not even playable.

In GTA, I have to play at medium texture, which to be honest does not look better than next gen consoles, and in Witcher I get like barely 40 FPS on medium.

So here is my question, do you think its worth buying a GTX 980 for my current gaming scenario, or should I stick with purchasing GTX 970 to replace my GTX 760.

    970 Would be plenty (:

  11. How is that offensive?

We all know Watch Dogs will never be near as good as GTA is! It seems like Ubisoft is dying for money. They release an Assasins Creed every year for every platform, they always downgrade their games and they never feel the same as the first reveal. Why GTA is so popular and almost everygamer likes it? Because they don't release a GTA every year and when they do release a GTA game is always worth it. I was one of the gamers that were too hyped for Watch Dogs and it's been a lot since they released the game and I haven't bought the game yet. 19$ for Watch Dogs Xbox One/ PS4 version in Amazon. 30$ For GTA V last gen Xbox 360/PS3 and +50$ For the next gen GTA V. It's all about the Supply & Demand Law (I study Economy) Watch Dogs will never have the same demand as GTA has.

  12. Lmao no. The console costs 499$. The gpu of the xbox one is similar to an r7 260x. Which costs about 100$. The ps4's gpu is more powerful and is similar to an r7 265 which costs around 140$. The gpus in the consoles are nowhere near the performance of the 970. Their performance isn't even close to a 960.

I was about to shit myself when I saw those websites lol

Anything 960 and up absolutely crush the XBone and the PS4. There is no competition between the two.

    Thanks for your reply :D

I believe the consoles have APU's, meaning the CPU is their CPU (duh..) and GPU too.

The 2 consoles are not that powerful. Even a GTX 960 is better than them.

    Now I understand thanks! (:

R7 265 Will dominate both consoles.

    Thanks! :)
