  1. Hey Guys, Just wondering if this build will be enough for a 17-year old friend looking to play most games at high/ultra 1080p, GTA V, Payday 2, Witcher 3, Bioshock games etc. AMD A8-5600K 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor Gigabyte GA-F2A78M-HD2 Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard Kingston Fury Black Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive MSI GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case Silverstone Strider Essential 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply Thanks guys
  2. If the roku worked in aus (not sure if it does without a VPN) I would buy it ASAP! Roku 2 or even 1 would be more than enough..
  3. I'm with Telstra.. and roku is quite expensive and won't work in Australia without a VPN..?
  4. I live in Australia, we have none of those services available here.. We may get a VPN eventually. I just need something stable and VERY easy to use for under $100 bucks haha
  5. Hi Guys, I live in Australia and FINALLY we got our own Netflx account for the family. I'm wondering, is there a recommended device that's cheap to stream netflix. We have a chromecast but my parents are useless with technology and don't want to use their phones, they prefer having a remote... Is there anything you could recommend? So far looking at an Apple TV ($99) or a generic Android Box from Ebay ($79) Your input is much appreciated Thank You.
  6. Hey all, Building a pc for a friend and wondering if my Thermaltake 450W PSU is enough to handle the system below. Intel G3420 @ Stock 3.2Ghz 4GB G-Skill DDR3 Ram 1TB WD Blue HDD Asus GTX 750 1GB (No power connector needed) Gigabyte H81M Motherboard Surely it's ok on a 450W PSU? (SEE ATTACHED FOR PSU)
  7. Hey guys, I'm thinking of upgrading my Gigabyte R9 280X to a GTX 970, but I'm worried the upgrade won't do much? I'm looking at 1080P gaming only, looking forward to the witcher 3, GTA V etc. Will there be a bump in FPS? if it's only 5-10 it's not worth it.. Reviewer websites are so up and down. They all use 8xAA in their games and its not practical Cheers guys.
  8. Hey guys, Building a pc for a friend and I've double checked everything and it won't boot. It's a Pentium haswell g3420 4GB Kingston ram 1TB WD BLUE HDD Thermaltake 450W PSU 80+ Gigabyte H81M Mobo It just won't boot at all ( PLEASE SEE ATTACHED) Your help is much appreciated!
  9. Any other specs you can provide? What brand is the PSU? and model number if possible?
  10. Another 4GB stick will be purchased in the next few months. Pentium will be upgraded to an i5 4460 in the next year or so Also He just can't afford it at the moment
  11. Hey guys, Building a new gaming PC for my little cousin, looking to stay within budget also.. Around $400 AUD, will a 270X work with a Corsair VS550 550W PSU. Specs are below to give you an idea of power consumption of the whole build. Intel Pentium G3420 @ 3.2Ghz 4GB Kingston 1333Mhz Ram Gigabyte H81M Motherboard Thermaltake Versa H15 Corsair VS550 550W PSU 500GB HDD WD Blue NOTE: 270X not included in the budget as I already have one. Cheers in advance!
  12. More RAM? no game I've ever played has used more than 3GB hmm, 970 only shows 5-10+ FPS over my current card. Not much of an upgrade. I'll need to weigh it all up including my budget. Thanks Though
  13. I have a PS4 and a 1080p TV. Even when some games are 720p or 900p, cos it's a console i usually sit about 2-3 meters back.. i don't even notice jaggies on the screen.
  14. Thanks Guys, yeah the 280X has been great for about 14 months or so but 1080P gaming can be taxing, especially with GTA V and the Witcher 3 coming out.. 970 maybe? or should I wait for the the new 300 Series from AMD?
