  1. 1060 builds were a bit too low, it's closer to 500. Processors like i5 6400, i5 8400, i3 9100f. Don't want too go that old for the nvidia cards and the amd cards are way too expensive, probably because of mining.
  2. wow what's happening with the 1650 there?? Yeah I was thinking that would be the best choice as well. Would I build it myself though? This website has op good list of processors and prices (click on a cpu to see where it is in stock) https://be.hardware.info/processors.3#filter:q1YqKMpMTk3Ozy1QsqpWKkhMT1WyUjJU0lEqzi8qATJzM_PAKuITi5OBotmpleX5RSnFQBkgDywTlJgH0lQNUhoAEoDI5SZWwHm1QOMy8suDS_KTs2HGF6Qmx5tYWkA1hiXmlMKVgqQMLSwgcokVGHJmhqYmWPTl5ueVZBQ7pueD-bUA
  3. Hello everyone my gaming laptop with a 960m is dying and I need a replacement. Was looking at secondhand desktops / gpus in the area. I am looking for something to run World of Tanks, the cheaper the better. The vega 56 however is a bit more powerful than the other ones I was looking at so would offcourse be a bit more. Some prices in the area (I am open to building it myself if it would be cheaper): - desktop with a vega 56 asks 700 but open to discussion (would try to get it for 500) - desktops with a gtx970 are 300-350 euro (card alone about 160) - desktops with a 1060 are 450-500 euro (card alone about 180) - desktops with a 1070 are 650-750 euro (card alone about 350) - desktops with a 1650 are 450-550 euro (card alone about 200-250) Budget (including currency): 500 max but preferably 300 euro Country: Belgium Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: World of tanks Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 1440p screen but have been playing on it at 1080p and I don't mind it. I always turn the settings down anyways to have high framerate.
  4. It seems to have a mechanical keyboard, weigh only 1.85kg, have thunderbolt 3, 144hz screen, 9750h and 1660ti, wifi 6 and a 94whr battery. Seems to be quite good value? Which internationally available laptops can boast the same specs for that price? I am moving between 3 different places during the week and in the weekends so I don't really have any other option than a gaming laptop.
  5. Hey everyone, I was browsing around and found a laptop with this model number BQC71AUBU6000. It seems to be known under 2 models I found: Intel Alpha Force II in Thailand and Falkon BQC71AUBU6000 in Spain. I can't find any reviews of it though except this video and these ones on a shops site https://shopee.co.th/INTEL-Notebook-Alpha-Force-II-BQC71AUBU6000-(Gunmetal)-Exclusive-Model-i.62824618.5832825572. It seems an insane value (9750h and 1660ti for <1000$) and I'm kind off tempted to buy it and check it out . Has anyone ever heard about it or have any experience with it?
  6. Hello everyone, My new monitor (AOC Q27P1) just arrived and I want to try it out but it doesn't seem to detect the signal from my laptop. It is detected in the display settings in windows so I can set duplicate/extends, monitor resolution, refresh rate etc. but no image appears on the screen, it just keeps saying 'no signal'. I tried my girlfriends macbook with the new monitor using a tb 2 to hdmi adapter and it works so I think it's not the screen or the cable. Now when I try my laptop on her monitor it does work normally?! What is going on here? Does it have something to do with the difference in resolution between my built in screen and the external monitor (1440p)? Could it have something to do with my discrete gpu?

  8. Thanks for the help guys, I'll see how I can make it work.
  9. Already tried fast chargers, those didn't work sadly
  10. Would just an active usb cable or usb hub connected to a usb charger work?
  11. Good option but kind of expensive for my goal. Sadly i can't seem to find any pi zero's in stock near me. The pi zero w for 10 euro's should work with usb otg cables (which i've got). So far that's the cheapest option. Ideally I'm lookig for something even cheaper as the adapters itself were 15 euro.
  12. Hello everyone, I bought these adapters a while ago https://www.amazon.com/PACK-Broadband-Ethernet-Generation-Supplies/dp/B01AYMAV1Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1547824395&sr=8-2&keywords=directv%2Bmoca&th=1. Offcourse I didn't read the comments properly and failed to notice they apparently need a device with active USB ports to power it, a random usb charger does not work. The power adapters can be ordered separately but those are 110V so those don't work in Europe. So my question is, what are some small and cheap devices with usb ports that send some form of data as well e.g. tv's, consoles but way smaller. Thanks in advance! EDIT: my ISP's router does not have a usb port, only network ports.
  13. You again, he clearly mentioned playing games. Could you stop spamming "get a macbook" in every thread?
