  1. The reason why he didn't put it in the attic is that VR systems need as low latency as possible to work. if you made the cable longer, that would increase the latency a lot. if you went with a faster cable like his thunderbolt connections, that's a really expensive cable which I don't think can even reach the attic and if i did, the time it takes to translate the data from usb to thunderbolt is too much. this is the most cost effective and best solution for the best experience possible
  2. What RAM are you using? I didn't catch it in the video
  3. I have worked with a lot of LiPO batteries in the past and yes puffy batteries are a fire hazard, but if you watch over it and don't puncture them, they will be fine. In my case, it just started so I have quite a lot of time. Don't worry, if I was really worried about it, I wouldn't be this calm. Also, by opening the laptop I am pretty sure I voided the warranty
  4. Hi, I am looking for a battery replacement for my Razer Blade 2016 1060 edition as it seems to not be able to hold a charge for very long anymore. I took my laptop apart and noticed that one of the cells of it was puffy which is probably why it is having issues. I was curious to see if anyone had replaced their battery and which one they used and if it was successful.
  5. can one run an AMD 280x on 2x6 pin connectors instead of 1x8 pin + 1x6 pin?
  6. huh? why is that relevant to the subject at hand?
  7. right now I am looking at the DELL XPSs and they seem really good but are at the same price as the Macbook air, any reasons to choose one over the other????? Also i'd be using iTunes a lot
  8. I am also considering getting a big external Hard Drive because from the little research I have done, no on really makes a laptop with more than 1TB of storage. Because of that, I am starting to consider a macbook air due to its robustness in OS and because it has all the ports I need, but I could also get something similar for about half the price on windows. Stil looking
  9. Hi, I am looking for a new laptop for file managing, playing music and other light load work. I need either an i5 or an i7 (i5 should be sufficient) and 8gb of ram and 2-4TB of storage. If anyone has good recommendations between $500-$1000 i'd like to see them because rn this opens the door to so many models that I don't know where to start looking
  10. Aight, thanks yall, I'm going to go for the AOC Monitor which is currently on sale on amazon. Have a great day!

  15. EDIT: doesn't have to be both 4K and 144Hz+ it can be one or the other

  17. Hi, since Christmas is coming around, I am now looking to treat myself with a new monitor. However I don't know which to choose. What I value the most is that It's 24 inch or higher (probably not an ultrawide tho) and that it has a panel that looks as good as an IPS panel or that is an IPS panel and that it is adjustable. Features that would be nice to have: 4K and 144Hz+ refresh rate and I don't care about response time as long as it's less than 15ms. My budget would be about $600 but if something that is really good is at $800, i'll see what I can do since i am really looking for quality don't don't mind spending a bit more if it means that I am getting that.
  18. Hi, Today i'd be looking for a monitor which has both a 21:9 aspect ratio and would feature a touchscreen. I have yet to to find one so I am relying on the power of the community to help me out. I'd rather have a flat ultra wide but a curved screen could also work
  19. honestly for simplicity i'd just use your mobo normaly
  20. Yes but money that is all
  21. @Slick @LinusTech
  22. that's on the way btw because they are starting to have non-volatile memory (one that stays there even when powered off) but 128 Gb would cost around $250
