  1. I need to do this essay about open source software but it mentions to not confuse open source software with shareware. I tried Googling it but I am more confused about the differences between them that I was before. Could anyone explain the difference between open source software and shareware to me? Also is freeware the same thing as shareware?
  2. I have to do this assignment for C++ class dealing with arrays and I cannot figure it out. Can anyone help me? Ill have a picture of the assignment attached.
  3. I have the HP Envy X360 Convertible- 15t laptop and I want to replace the 1tb HDD with a 500gb SSD. I've seen many youtube videos on upgrading the HDD on that laptop but there are still some questions that I have. I noticed that you have to take off the rubber feet on the laptop to get access to the screws. But if I take out the rubber feet, will my warranty be canceled? And also how would I put the feet back on? Do I have to just glue it back or do I just need to buy replacement rubber feets? Also, will upgrading the HDD to an SSD void my warranty? Can someone please help me.
  4. I just got a new laptop (HP Envy x360 convertible) and it has a 1tb hard drive. I haven't even opened it yet and I already know that I want to replace that hard drive with an SSD. I want an SSD that holds around 700GB or more. The reason I want so much storage is because this laptop is supposed to take me through college (btw I am a senior in high school right now). I plan on buying an SSD during Black Friday or Christmas when all the sales come out. I would like for you guys to recommend some SSDs that fit the criteria listed below. My criteria: -Must be reasonably priced -Must be between 700GB and 1TB -Must function well (I don't want one that barely works and will poop on my computer) *I know that manufacturers don't make SSDs in the 700GB range, but I just can't do 500GB because they actually have around 430GB*

  6. I am planning on taking my gaming pc with me to college and I need a monitor because the past year I've been hooking it up to my TV. After I move to a dorm, I will have a proper desk to put my computer and a monitor. I want something in the mid tier as far as performance, but I want one that saves me some money. I want 1080p at 60hz because I will game on it. I dont care much about viewing angles. I want one that is in the 20-25 inch range as far as size, but I will go for smaller or larger if the price or performance is worth it. It does not have to have any cool bells or whistles, as long as it works well for gaming and multi-media. My price range is from 150-200 dollars, but i can go higher if the performance is worth the value. Remember I am not looking for the best of the best monitor, just one that is good and fairly cheap. So what do you recommend?
  7. We can do that, but keep in mind I am working with people who have little to no prerequisite knowledge in computer science and computer engineering.
  8. Yea we could do some stuff on that, but everyone at the school has a laptop they can use.
  9. I live in an area that is between rural and suburban, so I dont think we have a computer recycling center, bu if I do than I'll do that.
  10. Im a student in the 11th grade and I plan on starting a computer/robotics/programming club for my school on my senior year. The club is essentially about technology in general, I dont want to focus on only coding or only robotics engineering. I want it to be about everything technology related. I am having trouble deciding what my club can do as an activity or project. I do not intend to stand in front of a board and tech a class. I want our projects to be fun, but still allow people to gain knowledge off of it. I also have a small budget(no more than $1000) for the projects in my club, so I cannot do anything to grand. Are there any cheap, fun, and somewhat educational activities or projects that you recommend? Keep in mind: -I go to a private school, so I will not gain much if I put an entrance fee -Most people will not be tech geeks -The budget I have is for all the activities for the entire year, not just for one activity
  11. U mean survival of the fittest. I dont think so. But it will be on eventually if it already isnt
  12. Lol I like how this started as an ARK post and it turned into an Overwatch one
  13. Uhhhhhh... you're actually considering selling Overwatch. I mean ARK is fun af but Overwatch should be a keeper. But anyways, if you do get ARK, hit me up on PS4
