  1. Currently, my build consists of the i7-4790k and 980ti. I used to play games at 4k but went down to a Ultra Wide 3440 x 1440. I play my games in windowed mode at 1080p and use Game Capture on OBS to capture my games. I'm looking to upgrade my slowly aging processor to either a 7900x or a 1950x. This would help me for streaming, as well as future production work and computations. Let's say I have no budget, but the decision will be made based on performance per dollar. I've been looking around different sites for unbiased comparisons to see what would be a better fit for my workload and streaming needs. Mainly it'd be for streaming for now. Another way of going about this would be to, deal with the 4790k for now, and buy a capture card. The problem is that, some high end capture cards don't accept inputs of non-standard resolutions. (Black Magic Design e-mailed me saying that their 4k cards don't accept 1440p or 1600p). So, I'm turning to here, seeing what my better options are and what you guys think. Thanks in-advance.
  2. So I posted this on Twitter a few days ago to let the LMG guys know they should fix one of their WAN Archive's title. There's 2 archived videos of the WAN Show with the same date on them. Pre-recorded confirmed? It's now the end of tonight's show and it still hasn't been fixed. So I'll just leave this here.
  3. Update: As of 2:08AM, I've finally resolved my issue. After throwing my H100i out the window 200 times(Jokes), I've finally dislodged an apparently air bubble on the pump. It's now idling at 52C, while still hot under water, it is enclosed in an H440. The 30C I got from the H55 was when the case had no panels on it. I'll most likely keep the CPU OC'd to its Turbo of 4.4, but no higher until I get a new cooler and case. Thanks everyone for their time in an attempt to resolve this issue. Side Note - I hate AIO's now for the amount of effort to dislodge air bubbles. Does bleeding a custom loop give this much of a headache?
  4. Alright so, I don't know what I did, but I shut off my computer to fully take out the H100i, since I only disconnected the cooler and let the radiator stayed screwed on the top of the chassis. I installed the radiator to the back of my case and when I turned my computer back on, it idled at 100C again. So, no idea what's going on anymore.
  5. Alright, I did some testing. It was the AIO. I had an H55 I used to watercool an 290x (which I fried), and put it on the 4790k. I'm now idling at 30C, and did a Cinebench run and the temps maxed at 50C. I'll see if I can get the H100i RMA'd, though it's from 2014, so I don't remember what the warranty period for it was. Thanks everyone for the help!
  6. CMOS already cleared, and it's not delidded. Can't RMA to NewEgg, hopefully Intel can help me with it.
  7. It BSOD while thermal throttling on stock settings. Also, Corsair Link is reading my H100i at 94.5C
  8. Pump isn't dead. I turned on the pump only and it started running. Was audible and can feel the vibration of it.
  9. I'd believe that too, until I got a BSOD earlier today with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, and there wasn't anything running except CPU temps reaching 100C. All I did was open up chrome and it BSOD'd.
  10. I'm currently running a 4790k cooled by an H100i(CW-9060009-WW) on a ASUS ROG Maximus VII Hero in a H440. I've ran this setup for at least 2 years now and I recently noticed my CPU temps reached 96C last night, this was on a 4.6G OC. I decided to shut down my PC and start transplanting it into a different case, the Phanteks Enthoo Primo for better airflow, since I'd have about 10+ fans running in the case, since we all know the H440 starves for air. After finished transplanting the parts, I booted up the system, and was greeted with a 100C idle temp at start up. CPU utilization never peaked 15%, and it just stuck at 100C. I checked XTU, Package and Core TDP were normal, so I knew my mobo wasn't pushing the TDP intel set. This was all from last night. Today, I removed my H100i, cleaned up the thermal compound(MX-4), and put on the stock cooler to see if it was just the AIO dying. Once I reached my desktop screen, noticed that temps didn't changed, was again at 100C idle temps. Currently I reapplied the thermal compound again, rice grain size and spread evenly, and put the H100i back on, pump is working since I tested it. As I'm writing this, PC is idle with only HWMonitor and Chrome open, CPU still sits at 100C, and it's running at 800MHz. So, did I just burn up my CPU or is my H100i dying? Or Both?
  11. Hello, I currently have an ASUS PB287Q. I'm planning to get 2 more for a triple monitor setup, however there's no desk monitor stand that can hold 3 28" monitors. I contacted Ergotech yesterday asking if they sell any stand and parts to accommodate the PB287Q's. This is what they told me, I did actually find a Desk monitor stand by EZM that states it can hold 3 28" monitors, however when I asked the community the question of, can it hold 3 PB287Q's, I got an answer of, No. Since it barely holds 3 27" AOC monitors. So, I've come here. Can the 100-D16-BO3-TW fit my 3 PB287Q's? If not, do any of you have any suggestions for Desk Stands? I'm not looking to wall mount. Thank you in-advance.
