oogie386's Achievements

  1. Lucky, because of allergies. I get a migraine every two days. It sucks.
  2. I started calling myself oogie when I was 5, and I guess it stuck. Every username Ive ever had has been oogie. Thats about it.
  3. Do you guys think that my Thermaltake Smart 650w bronze power supply is the problem? Do you think It might not be giving enough power to the graphics card?
  4. Make sure your computer isnt shorting out, try starting your computer without any usb's in use. (no keyboards/mouse/flashdrives). Just to make sure one of your devices isnt shorting out the system. Also try cleaning your usb ports with a air spray can.
  5. Currently Im having a problem where my graphics card does not POST, but my integrated graphics does. Which is similar to your problem. How do you know you shorted your system out?
  6. Since youve tried two of everything except CPUS, try reseating the cpu. Make sure all the pins on the motherboard/cpu are in tact and arnt bent.
  7. Yes i have tried all three pci slots. But still no display. Im thinking my bronze 650w isnt enough power for the graphics card. But im not sure.
  8. Plugging my monitor into the gpu instead of the motherboard still gives me no display . I sadly cannot get into windows when the graphics card is installed (because i dont get a signal). But I can get into the computer with the integrated graphics.
  9. Your ports are shorting out. I would try cleaning the usb ports, with pressured air. Also take out every non-needed thing from the usb ports (flash drives, external drives) everything except the mouse and keyboard to try and narrow down the problem.
  10. I recently built a new computer, but the problem i'm having is: When the graphics card is installed, I do not get a display on my monitor/tv. I get "no signal". The fan spins and the "geforce graphics" lights up/ computer boots up but I dont get a display on the monitor when the graphics card is plugged in. Currently I can only get into the system when only using the integrated graphics. And so I'm pretty sure all the parts work other than the gpu. I have tried re-positioning the gpu, checking if all the cables are plugged in, updating my BIOS, and attempted to install drivers for the gpu.(I have yet to find a way to install the drivers for the gpu because nvidia drivers only installs drivers when it detects your gpu in the computer.) I have also tried going into the BIOS and changing the primary display to PCIE and PEG, but it just reverts back to "auto" every time I change it. My PC Specs: ------------------ http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hDgxK8 CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5ghz Quad-core Processor GPU: Geforce GTX 980 Ti PSU: Thermaltake smart 650W bronze Motherboard: Asus z97 PRO CPU Cooler: Kraken x41 RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb (2 x 8gb) DDr3-1600 memory OS: Windows 8.1 Any help would be amazing. Thank you.
  11. New computer wont work :(

  12. Just unplug the computer when it is at 100%, it is best to charge batteries until they are 80%, and then use them until 20%. So an example of this would be charging my laptop until the battery is at 80% then unplug it and use it. Then when the battery is at 20%, charge the laptop again. This helps sustain your batteries lifespan. And is also very good for traveling and storage.
