You can buy a Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 750GB HDD for £27.60 which is about £10 cheaper than the WD caviar blue 1tb leaving a littlle bit of room for a cheapo SSD such as the kingston A400 120GB which is about £44 which could be squeezed in if willing to go like £10 over budget. -i dunno what pricing is like not in England though so i could be wrong

I would suggest trying to squeeze in a SSD. If your not willing to spend over 700 you could reduce the WD caviar blue 1tb to a 500gb HDD and get a cheap 120gb SSD.

I have just had a very irritating set of events. It started out with my PSU failing which meant that i was with out my PC until the RMA on it allowed me to get a replacement. During the time I got impatient and installed another PSU into the system and mistakenly connected the old SATA PSU cables to the temporary replacement PSU and then realised when I turned the PC on and saw my fans spin for a fraction of a second and turn off. I then put the correct cable in and it boots into the BIOS and it does not show the HDD. It is not spinning up when i listen to it. What can I do to check that it is definitely dead and if so how could I try and repair the drives as i would like to try and get some of the data back (luckily its mostly backed up)?

I'm getting kind of annoyed at one plus with the way that they allow you to customize their alert slider. All I want is the top position to be completely silent with not vibrate, the middle to be vibrate with not sounds and the final position to be sound and vibrate. Has anyone found a fix for this?

I just had to reset my PC because it was causing me a bunch of problems. On my PC i have a SSD as a c drive and a large hard drive to store all of my applications and other stuff. Now i have reset my PC i still have all of the files for the applications but it does not appear in the apps list. For example steam: In my mass storage hard drive is all the files for steam and it launches from the .exe file. But when i use the search feature in windows it does not recognise that it is installed. Is there a way to re link all of my programs so that i do not have to reinstall them all?

i7 4790k working worse than an i5 6600k?

The i5 is the newer generation skylake processor and you may not be running a bench mark that utilities the 4 more threads with the i7 -

Inside my computer, I have a set of the NZXT Hue + LEDs. They have been great except fo the cam software. It crashes and slows down. It doesn't let me log in sometimes and it sometimes doesn't recognize the LEDs. Is there a third party app for the Hue + that works a bit better because I could really use a better version?
