  1. Rig Name: The Dual Core Beast Specs: CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 @ 4.4 Ghz GPU: Zotac GTX 980 Amp! Extreme! Edition RAM: 8 Gb Ripjaw Score: 8.7
  2. Excalibur v2 keyboard and why i want it is because simply i haven't upgraded to mechanical yet and my keyboard i do have is a Razer Lycosa which i bought from kijiji and not knowing it was a defective model so it likes to randomly shutoff its fun to randomly stop moving mid game of battlefield and to have to quickly unplug and replug in the keyboard
  3. So, I was browsing the kijiji's for a new video card just to throw in my old Core 2 Quad computer to get it doing something again when I came across a Nvidia GeForce 8800 and I thought that would be a great old card so I messaged the guy to confirm model and such because I was just going off from picture and I was correct so I asked him how much he was thinking it can't be any more then 50$ so he came back with the price of 450$ and I was like what lol and he was like yeah 450$ and then I was like dude I will give you 30$ for it and he was like nope 450$ and I asked him if he knows its like a 10 year old graphics card that doesn't have hdmi and would be surprised if it could handle 1080p gaming and he was like they are 450$ new so I want 450$ so I sent him a eBay link for 24$ 8800 and I said I like the price of this one better have a nice day
  4. Sadly the corsair H60 is 85$ but the Phanteks is on sale for 66$ but I can go with the Cooler Master Seidon 120V it should fit the same as the H60 and saves a few bucks
  5. Air or water I don't care something with in a budget of 60$ or so Canadian so like a million dollars anyways I have a Pentium Anniversary chip and its overclocked I'm looking at the max overclock of 4.3 Ghz and just want something that can keep up really well at the moment I am hitting up to 70C with stock cooler and it makes me cringe slightly what do you guys think? I was personally thinking the water side of things considering the smaller case that can't support a evo so something like a Cooler Master Seidon 120VWhich is on sale right now today only for 70$ and 60$ after rebate Regular 88$ so if you guys could reply quick enough and say this is good or show me something better that would be great thanks in advance
  6. Problem Solved I am Oc'd at 4.3 Ghz i was clicking and using the positive negative buttons where if you just type 40 it will clock it
  7. so i rolled my bios back and my computer still wont overclock am i missing something?
  8. There is a ram compatibility list and it's just me being worried and yeah I bought it cause it's cheap
  9. Hey, I recently purchased a Msi B85-G43 Gaming board and wanted to overclock my Pentium with it but shortly after purchase I realized the board requires a downgrade in BIOS to overclock this cpu I was going to do it but was a tad worried that it might change the ram compatibility list but I could be over thinking it, G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL that is what I have for ram before I continue with my procedure I just want some advice to see if this will screw my system a new one or work successfully
  10. I did some things and got it to work (reseated ram and inserted one at a time) I couldn't get it to work with 8 Gb ( I suspect that one of the ram sticks where fried) but i got 6 Gb (3, 2gb stick) to work which is good enough for me and on top of that I did some oc'ing and got my 2.5 Ghz intel core 2 quad up to 2.81 Ghz not a big speed boost but enough to tell.
  11. Hey, I am having some blue screen issues I just upgraded mobo's to the asus p5w in my old machine and I am getting a error with the ram * Note the ram is fully tested and works good with no errors* Windows says it has 6 Gb of ram and only 3 Gb is usable I did some searching online and it was suggested to enable memory remap in the bios so I did it booted the first time fine ( Showing 6 Gb usable ram) with no problems but after that I can't boot (without a bsod) at all unless I disable memory remap which will only allow my computer to use 3 Gb of ram does anyone know a work around it would be much appretiated~Thanks
