  1. Flickering resumed even without drivers. Guess I will just go double DP then.
  2. Yep, decided it would just be faster do uninstall them. And indeed! The flickering seems to have stopped. Will keep this running for some more time as I try to play some games before trying to reinstall the drivers. And in the case the flickering does come back, guess I will just buy another (longer) DP cable. Thank you very much!
  3. Hum, since it seems to be that way, and not just some obscure setting I am overlooking, I will try first just booting into safe mode (in a bit, doing some work now) first and see what I get.
  4. Hello all, Basically whenever I turn on my second monitor, both my screens start displaying some artifacts/flickers at random intervals. These look like white/black horizontal lines. This only happens if I use a HDMI cable on the second monitor. But sadly, I have to use HDMI right now because of cable length. Main monitor uses DP. Was wondering if this could be fixed with some specific settings. GPU: RTX 2080 OS: Windows 10 In any case, I thank you for any inputs.
  5. Those problems could actually be unrelated. The noise could just be an old case fan. I had a similar problem where my Corsair K70 started glitching out (failing keys/RGB), while I also had a loud noise as you described inside the case. It turned out to just be the back fan, which I fixed. The keyboard had to be RMA'd In any case, try using the mouse in another system or reinstalling the software.
  6. As Hampster said, try juggling your ram sticks and only using one. Since the MOBO is your second one, then resetting the CMOS and whatnot would accomplish nothing, but doesn't hurt to try. In any case what we need to do is figure what is the faulty component, and sadly we cannot do that without spare parts. Even if you say it's not the CPU/PSU, we can't be sure. Something could have happened when you disassembled your old PC. So I'd recommend taking it to a shop that has compatible parts to try them individually.
  7. Amazon already said they'd give me a full refund no questions asked, which is nice. Problem is that I moved to Brazil now and you can't really find any actual x470 motherboards here, and importing is out of the question due to local taxes. In any case, I will try going back to Gigabyte. Thanks again my man!
  8. Aw man, guess RMA it will be, then. Thank you kindly for the support though, I really appreciate it!
  9. @syn2112 Right away: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-X470-PRO/HelpDesk_Download/ I tried with the 3 options under the "Audio" tab.
  10. So, the download from the Mobos page gives you 2 installers: -Asus Setup -(Realtek) Setup With the first, it opens the console that simply closes itself after 10 or so seconds. With the second one, it opens and installs normally, but nothing really changes after said installation. I tried going to the folders but they are mostly empty.
  11. Hello all, I will try to cut to the chase: I cannot get any audio that isn't from either an external USB sound card or my GPU's HDMI/DP ports. Specs: Motherboard: Asus Prime X470 PRO CPU: Ryzen 2700x, stock GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2080, stock RAM: 2x8 3200mhz Corsair Vengeance Pro OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit Additional Slots: Elgato HD60Pro capture card on PCI After doing a clean install, I noticed I was getting no audio from the rear/front IO ports, despite having "installed" the Realtek Drivers directly from the Motherboard page. So here is the step by step of what I did: -Did another clean install of Windows; -Updated BIOS; -Disabled and Enabled HD Audio from the BIOS for testing; -Installed the Radeon Chipset from their site (they ask you to, even though I use a nvdia card, so not sure if relevant); -Finally, installed the Realtek Drivers again; Still nothing, so then I tried: -Cleaning the CMOS; -Switching/removing RAM; When I try to install said drivers, the Asus installer simply closes and nothing is, in fact, installed. If I try using the Realtek installer, it "installs" but the folders turn out to be almost empty (See attachments). Nothing shows up in Device Manager/Sound Panel. Anyone on the same platform experienced similar issues? I tried contacting Asus on the matter but they weren't of much help. They simply told me to resort to RMA, but I would like to avoid that if possible. Thank you kindly for any replies in advance.
  12. I had no idea Bixby had custom commands, the feature actually made me re-enable it and give it a try. Edit: I believe it is worth mentioning is was just a showcase. He's not claiming Bixby is the best thing ever, no. He still stands by his point that virtual assistants are very much limited as of now.
  13. Well, earlier today, after (successfully) installing Windows 10 I went for a clean, complete reset. Everything went normal until the reset got stuck at 99%. On my scren there's the windows 10 logo and some rotating balls, indicating that it is not frozen.
  14. Title says it all. Does anyone know how long should the reset actually take? What about forcing a restart? Thank you in advance!
  15. Title says it all, as a newbie in the area what should I look for while purchasing a new monitor? (I know about the FAQ but I'm mostly interessed in general tips). Thank you for your time. Edit: Would you recommend any of these? http://www.oficinadosbits.com.br/products/listar.asp?Par=CodClasse&descricao=&classe=&CodClasse=1&fabricante=&Ordenar=MaiorPreco&Filtro=Todos http://www.waz.com.br/periferico-e-acessorio/monitor-lcd-e-tv.html?p=2
