  1. I like the dubs, even if they don't sound perfect. As someone who often has LTT and other YT videos on a second display or on a tablet whilst I'm doing something else, I'm strongly against 'correcting' audible/verbal errors with on screen text. I don't think this is an appropriate solution as it will often not be seen.
  2. Is that a cheeky dub at 1:47?
  3. Enough to pay $300US / $570AUD(???) for this wanky looking thing? https://www.razer.com/au-en/console-controllers/razer-kitsune/RZ06-05020100-R3A1 I thought Razer had lost touch with reality. Maybe I have.
  4. My initial thought of not being able to see Twitter was; who cares. However, I later realised, Elon's hissy fit impedes access to emergency alerts and broadcasts.
  5. Blu-ray rips and RAW images. RAW images (the important stuff) will be backed up to two other non-raid drives. I'd be happy to go RAID 6 but not sure how feasible this is without an expensive/complicated RAID card. I'll use an NVMe drive for boot.
  6. I'm going to be building a Windows PC with 6 20TB WD Golds which I want to run in RAID 5. Should I be looking for a hardware RAID card, software RAID card, motherboard RAID or Windows RAID? It's not mission critical. Thank you.
  7. I use Lightroom/Photoshop for editing RAW files but I want something to quickly view exported JPGs. I do not believe the Photos app is colour managed. Everything I have previously read, as well as my own experience, indicates it is not colour managed.
  8. I like the simplicity of Windows 10's default photo viewer but hate that the colours suck ass. I've been opening photos in my web browser, when I need to see the colours accurately but this is obviously not very convenient. Any recommendations for something simple which acknowledges display calibration and shows accurate colours? Ta
  9. Huh. This was moved to Laptops and Pre-built. Does this look like a laptop or a pre-built to anyone?
  10. When you completely misunderstand the intention of your PC case:
  11. SSD for boot drive is a must and will show a performance improvement, regardless of what you are using the computer for. As for RAM, it really depends on what you use the computer for. With that said, given the CPU, you're unlikely to be doing anything which will see any benefit beyond 8GB of RAM.
  12. Thank you. I found Puget's article. I've made a few amendments. CPU to 5900X. 970 EVOs to a 4TB Corsair MP600 PSU to HX850 Memory to (probably) G.SKILL F4-3600C16Q-64GTZN
  13. Before I started doing this kind of work, I would have also thought more than 32GB of RAM for image editing was a bit silly. To be clear, this is pretty niche stuff. Most photographers would not need more than 32GB of RAM.
  14. Thank you. I thought Seasonic had an excellent reputation and this would be one of the best.
  15. Please expand? Are you saying the RAID is unnecessary or the capacity? If RAID, I was going to do this for convenience, not speed. If capacity, then it might be unnecessary for you but not for me. I often use more than 32GB or RAM. Your usage is not the same as mine. I have chosen 6TB drives which will run in RAID 1, giving me 6TB mirrored capacity. These will backup 5TB worth of SSDs. I'm not sure what your objection is here. Should I be using 4TB drives to give me less capacity than the drives I want to backup or should I be looking for the very uncommon, if not non-existent, 5TB 3.5" drive?
