  1. So I'm planing to install an additional SSD since my laptop, (Acer Nitro 5 AN515-43-R0YM), appears to have an extra M.2 slot available. However I see that it is marked SATA on the motherboard, but my current drive to the right is PCIe and appears to have the same fitting as the SATA marked one. As much as I would like to reboot my pc with the drive in the other port to confirm, I don't want to risk corrupting my drive. Will this drive (https://www.newegg.com/intel-665p-series-1tb/p/N82E16820167469) work in that empty slot, but with SATA level performance? If not, which options do I have for a 1TB sized model? Thank you for your help.
  2. It likely is going to have problems. Could you link the exact RAM modules are you looking at purchasing?
  3. The hitboxes are a noticeable change, I land more shots than before. or it could be i changed the batteries in my mouse.
  4. 4 digits, then 3. Maybe they'll go with 2 digits for the next run. GTX 60 GTX 70 GTX 80 GTX 80Ti
  5. If they're looking at buying a gpu, i'm sure they'll have enough computer knowledge to know the difference. Unless it's a family member buying a card as a gift.
  6. Sticky here for more detailed reading http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/278610-display-technology-faqmythbuster/ It all depends on the types of games you will be playing on the monitor, the size, and resolution you desire.
  7. They are good valued cards with great performance to back it up. Just make sure your psu can handle the wattage.
  8. You'll experience heavy drops in frame rates I believe if a game is too demanding. If so, you'll probably have to turn down some options in some games.
  9. The 4GB is better in SLI configs for research and whatnot, but I'd honestly get a 970 or 390 card. With the 390, you'll be getting 8GB of HBM
  10. That i5 will be good enough for gaming. If you're wanting to increase gaming performance, I'd recommended a better GPU. Edit: Looking at your previous posts, I'm guessing you have a R9 290 Windforce, which is already a bitchin card if you ask me. So maybe an upgrade towards the 300 series might give you the boost you're looking for. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/350692-radeon-r9-290-windforce-oc-144hz-issue/#entry4769616
  11. This is from the Klipsch Subwoofer FAQ: http://www.klipsch.com/Education/klipsch-subwoofer-faqs I think you should just have it face you towards where you are sitting.
  12. What headphones are you using? You might just need a better set. But if you're set on a dac/amp, try Fulla Schiit. http://schiit.com/products/fulla
  13. In terms of sound or build quality? If sound quality, then I should just get these: http://www.amazon.com/AudioQuest-Diamond-OptiLink-Optical-Audio/dp/B00717D3V8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1431017054&sr=8-3&keywords=audioquest+diamond
