  1. I have an 850 EVO and it destroys loading times for OS and my games, especially BF4 and Skyrim. Everyone should have a snappier system and not have to wait ages to play their games or use their daily programs

  3. So I plan on getting my PC real soon, about 3 weeks from now. I want to purchase my parts locally from NCIX but I also want to get the deals they have online from other dealers. For example Memory Express might have a power supply for 59 bucks (after instant savings of 30) and NCIX might have the same thing for 79 Would I be able to save by showing them that an online store has a better deal and get it cheaper that way? I need to save every bit of money that I can because I'll be going to university and I'll be broke http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/zZFLHx here's my parts and I want to buy locally from an NCIX store in Toronto So if someone could explain how the NCIX store price match works it'd be great help!
  4. Yeah don't bother going for a 980, 970 is plenty for a 1080p monitor, I've been looking at 970s for the past few days to put into my new gaming rig so I can confirm that even with the most demanding games at 1080 you're not gonna run into the problem
  5. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/Ashifkillz/saved/q8sscf This is my build, I'm about 3 - 5 weeks to building this. This is my first ever desktop, I've been with my old laptop for as long as I can remember. Please check if the power supply will be enough to run the rest of the pc while at peak power. I'm planning to use this for a lot of gaming which will for sure run the parts at peak at times so I was wondering if the 600 watt power supply I have on it will hold. Would I be able to OC my cpu and gpu on this psu? If not both which single one would I be able to do? Please don't suggest an SSD, that is coming in 3 months when I need to have my summer upgrade.
  6. Could you explain the difference that a 900fx mobo would provide? Mobos are where I really start to get lost.
  7. Well I'll be mostly gaming on this, a lot of far cry 4 and skyrim, maybe a tad bit of 3D digital art using 3ds max or something. Basically this will by my gaming rig for the next 2-3 years, and yes I will check out a 990fx, I'll have to modify what you gave since those seem to be the US prices, thanks for your input
  8. I have a PC planned out, I'm at the final stages of editing the build, its a super tight budget of 1k including tax The place where I'm stuck is do I want fx 6300 with r9 290 or fx 8320 with r9 280x? Will the fx 6300 slow the r9 290 down or limit it in anyway? This is my first ever pc build so I dont know too much on which parts should go with what. Please dont recommend any parts that are more expensive than what I have because these builds are right at the edge of the budget The links to by build thoughts are http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/Ashifkillz/saved/24RH99 http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/Ashifkillz/saved/q8sscf Fortunately for the 280x build I am able to use a good card from gigabyte, their rev 3 of the windforce. As for the 290 build I can only use the cheaper Asus one, I heard it has heating problems for some people. A bit of thoughts on the Asus card would be nice too. The mobo seems to be okay for me, but could someone make sure that its a decent one? Thanks!
