  1. Cool thanks, I'll definetely look into this tmr after work as its already past midnight here, thanks a bunch!
  2. I suppose that's possible, I'll definetly lower it to say 4.0...once I get it up and running again at all. Any ideas on how I can get this to boot up again?
  3. Is there any way at all to check if the PSU is defective without actually buying a new one & installing it to see if everything is working again?
  4. Uh...I can't remember to be honest. I know my ram is kingston hyperX and it was set to x.m.p. mode way back when the computer was first built. 1600mhz ram. I believe the PSU is fine (or maybe im wrong?), I've been using this computer on the same outlet for about 3 years now. never really had any issues with it until now.
  5. Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with my computer and after hours of fussing around I think its about time I turned to the community It started when I shut down my computer. Tried to turn it back on and...motherboard doesnt post, but the power remains on with all the fans spinning and all. I then tried clearing CMOS (pressed button, remove battery for 5 minutes), and afterwards, when I turn on my computer, now it just constantly restarts every 4 seconds (still doesn't post). Intel i5-3570k (I did have an overclock dialed in @ 4.2Ghz @ 1.25v) MSI z77a-gd65 8gb ram evga gtx 770 corsair gx850m PSU I took a video, and it has a few post codes that flash quickly, no idea what they mean, as I guess I can say I'm not much of a troubleshooter. If anyone can help, would be much appreciated! Hopefully nothing is defective..

  7. I just got a new pair of speakers as a gift, the Logitech z523 (2.1 speakers). I think they retail for arouind $80-100. I'm contemplating getting a sound card to improve my audio experience and was just wondering if it was worth it with these speakers. For headphones I'm using Siberia v2 for gaming which already has a usb sound card of some sort. Would a sound card make a noticeable difference with my speakers and my headset? I'm no audiophile, but I do enjoy good sound when gaming or listening to music. Another reason I'm thinking of getting this sound card is my speakers give out some weird hissing noise that I think might have something to do with my onboard audio (im using an msi g65 motherboard, so i think the onboard is some realtek thing). Will a sound card fix this? Any advice is greatly appreciated! p.s. if i do go through with getting a soundcard, I'll probably get one of the xonar lineup as everyone seems to be reccomending them. Please post suggestions! (maybe $100ish is my budget)
  8. Hi everyone, Just a quick question regarding sound cards. Do I need to have a good set of headphones or speakers to fully take advantage of them? Right now I have a Siberia V2 for Gaming and a random pair of Logitech 2.1 speakers. Is it worth getting a sound card considering I have probably low-medium grade headphones/speakers? I hear Linus is always saying the difference is night and day..but never really mentioned if we need a good set of headphones to fully take advantage. Thanks everyone!.
