It's all I could have ever asked for. Thank you for sharing.

Using the monitor's physical buttons to adjust brightness is time consuming, especially when I have two LG monitors that both require 2 - 3 submenu steps to access the brightness adjust, followed by another 2 - 3 back actions to exit the menu. And I would dispute the notion that there is no demand for this feature. Does the room in which you use your desktop have no windows? Mine does, and by the time the sun goes down, the relative brightness of the monitors feels straining and uncomfortable after a time. A simple way to adjust desktop-wide display brightness would be welcome.

Quick brightness adjustment is a commonplace feature on laptops - what about desktops? Is it possible? Is it a thing? My desktop setup is on Windows 11, 4070 Ti, and 1 LG 32GQ750-B and 1 LG 27UN850-W in portrait. When using my desktop for work in the evening, all I want is a non-hardware way to adjust brightness, so I can decrease brightness and eye strain at night in the desktop environment. Is there any way to do this? Could this be integrated into a GPU driver?

The legs of my new 50" Q60D TV are awful, especially in my new apartment, in which the only place for the TV is a cutout above the fireplace unit. This results in the elevation of the tv being way too high. To compensate for this, the best solution would be to angle the TV downwards. Unfortunately, that isn't possible with the legs that some with the Q60D. As you can see in this picture, the TV is very slightly tiled upwards, and the screen is roughly 4" back from the edge of the unit. I need some sort of stand that will allow me to both have the screen flush with the edge of the wall, and also to tilt it down slightly. Unfortunately, I cannot do a wall-mounting solution because (a) I can't drill into the walls of my apartment, and (b) there is only about 0.5" of width clearance on the tv in the rectangular cutout, so once the tv is in place, I can't access behind it. So I'm looking for some sort of stand. The base of the stand would have to be behind the screen, to allow me to place the screen at the edge of the wall. And the angle must be adjustable, so I can angle it down slightly for a better viewing angle. Does anyone know of any solutions? Thanks

Searching for the Shallowest Monitor Arm Setup
NotSoHonestAbe replied to NotSoHonestAbe's topic in Displays
Since the OLED42C2PUA uses 300x200 VESA mounts, I'm using the MOUNT-AD4X2 adapter, which I know does add depth to the entire setup. I'm thinking that my solution may involve some DIY setup of attaching a small platform underneath the desk itself, so I can use a stand like this one, just with the base of the stand resting underneath the desk, and thus the arm of the unit extending slightly behind the desk. -
Searching for the Shallowest Monitor Arm Setup
NotSoHonestAbe replied to NotSoHonestAbe's topic in Displays
Thanks for the info. I'm not able to use a wall-mounting solution because I use an adjustable height desk. What can you tell me about the STAND-V001U model? What is the depth on that, and would it be compatible with the screen dimensions of the OLED42C2PUA display? -
I think this is display-related enough to belong in this section of the forum. I'm currently using a 43" LG C2 OLED, and I'm looking for a monitor arm/mount/whatever that will allow me to place the display as close to the wall as possible. I want to have enough space to fit a desk shelf underneath where I can have room for DACs and audio stuff under the monitor. Today, I changed my monitor arm from an Ergotron HX to a VIVO single-pole arm. The HX was overkill for what I needed, and I thought that it was too far away from the wall, and thus too close to my face, for the ergonomics of a 43" display to work. My desk is 30" x 60", and with the Ergotron, the display sat about 6" away from the wall. Now, with the VIVO, it's sitting at ~8.5" away from the wall. Both measurements It seems like monitor arm manufacturers don't really pay much attention to depth measurements. I got the VIVO because I foolishly assumed that a single-pole mount would be shallower than the adjustable arm of the Ergotron. I was wrong. Short of mounting it on the wall, which I can't do since I use an adjustable height desk, does anyone have any recommendations for a solution that will allow me to keep the display as close to the wall as possible? I've searched high and low on Amazon and found ones like this, but there is no information on depth available. I've attached some photos of my setup

Starting a small form factor journey
NotSoHonestAbe replied to NotSoHonestAbe's topic in Cases and Mods
honestly only games i play regularly are battlebit and rocket league. i can scale down everything else i don't really care, but i just want a card that actually allows me to run my C3 at 120hz -
Hi forum, Much to my dismay, my new LG C3 OLED can't do 120hz at 4k off of my current RTX 2080 Super, so it's time for an upgrade. I've known for a while that I want my next PC to be a small form factor one, but I've never done such a build before. What sort of things should I look for when choosing my GPU for a small form factor build? Does anyone have any links to any helpful guides or anything like that? Any recommendations for a 4070 Ti/4080 that would be good for a small form factor? Thanks in advance

Damn that's what I was afraid of. Well time to get a new GPU. Thanks for the fast responses guys

Hey all, Having a big issue with reaching 120hz on my new LG C3 OLED and I am not sure why. I just can't find a 120hz setting anywhere, on the microsoft display settings or on the Nvidia Control panel. My GPU is an MSI RTX 2080 Super. Is that the issue, the GPU's HDMI port? Is it the cable? I have tried a few different cables. I am clueless as to why I can't get 3840x2160 at 120hz. Here are two screenshots of my Nvidia control panel: What I currently have it set as. The drop-down list under refresh rate only goes up to 60hz. 120hz becomes available at 2560x1440, under the "PC" listing. I've seen some other things where 3840x2160 is listed under PC on the control panel. pls help i need my 120 fps
