  1. To bring this thread to an end. In the picture you can see that the cpu only makes contact at the top an bottom part of the ihs and then only on a small part there as well. So if every thing is alright with system and you got high Temps, good chance your ihs is at fault.
  2. If this helps anyone, i also saw some i would call it pitting in the coldplate from the cooler. Or marks / outline pices of the cpu in the copper
  3. My bad vCore is 1.27 volts, package power is 202 to 209 watts at a 100% load. Pump speed is 2500rpm. Fans on the 420mm rad are 3 Noctua iPPC 2000rpm pwm at full speed and on the 280mm rad are be quiet purewings pwm 1300rpm (alphacool branded) also at full speed.
  4. Hello everyone, i have a problem with my new pc. I have a 9900KS oc'ed to 5.2GHz with a vid of 1.27volts (HWinfo) and stressing it with Asus realbench 2.43 the temps hit about 91°C witch is very high when considering i'm running the Alphacool Eisbar 420mm with the 280mm expansion rad. I have tried reaplying the thermal past witch didn't help, but gave me a chance to look at how it covered the ihs and it was perfect as expexted because manual spread. Thermalpast used was the Thermalgrizzly Kryonaut. I realy appreciate any help. Thanks! 5. Hello everyone, i need some help here. I have a i9 9900KS overclocked to 5.2GHz on 1.22 Vcore (HWinfo) my problem is that it's getting quiet hot 90 to 92°C and that's with a Alphacool Eisbear 420mm aio plus an aditional prefilled 280mm expansion rad from alphacool. I have checked the mounting and that's all allright and manually spreaded the thermal paste (Thermal Grizzly) and before anyone asks i have removed the plastic from the bottom of the cooler. specs: CPU: i9 9900KS MOBO: ASUS ROG Maximus XI Apex RAM: G.Skill 2x16GB 4000MHz GPU: EVGA GTX1080 FTW CASE: bequiet 801 Window PSU: Coolermaster V850 Gold
  6. ok thank you for your answer helped me out a lot
  7. Hello guys, i need some help .... I have a i7 4790k 4.8GHz 1.307Vcore 1.710VRin and when i do a Cinebench R15 run with adaptive voltage the temps go up to 81°C but when i set the voltage to manual the max temp is 71°C why is that? The voltage stays the same no spickes or something like that.
  8. hmm didn't help When i set the the core voltage to 1.180 and the offset to 0.05 it still goes to 1.280
  9. I set adaptive voltage to 1.200 the offset on auto and the rest on default.
  10. Hi i don't know if it fits in here but i'm having trouble with my 4790k. I can run it at 4.6GHz with 1.180v with manual voltage (be quiet! Dark Rock 3 73°C) but when i'm setting it to Adaptive voltage it pulls between 1.213 and 1.280 volts and then it starts to get to 90°C but i don't know why it's doing it. hope some one can help me out :-)
