  1. Thanks! The bottom one is the one I am using. I couldn't find any information stating how much those cables could handle. I was willing to buy the Cablemod version but since this cable can handle 600 watts, I'll save a few bucks. I'm already using the Cablemod 90 degree thingy.
  2. I bought a Corsair HX1000i for my new build. It came with the power cable needed for the 4xxx Nvidia GPUs. It only has 2 cable ends to plug into the PSU side, is that enough to power a 4090? The adapter that came with my 4090 has 4 plugs on the PSU side. Everything seems to work fine but I haven't pushed it hard yet. Battlebit on a 4090 doesn't make it work much.
  3. The title explains it pretty well. I'll be mid-game in RB6, the mouse will go off-screen and tab me out of the game. Usually while trying to kill another person, the worst possible time. Recent change was my GPU, swapped out a 3080 for a 7900 XTX. Googling suggests the Dual Monitor App. I downloaded, set it up and it didn't change anything. Same issue. Uninstalled. The only fix that has worked and isn't a great one, is disconnecting all monitors except for the main one in display settings. Defeats the purpose of multiple monitors. Does anyone have any ideas? This was never an issue with my Nvidia setup.
  4. Gamers Nexus did a great job explaining it but I want Linus to cover it in a separate video. Not on the WAN show mainly because of his reach. 13 million more subscribers than Steve's channel. These Beta BIOS's have been out since 5/2/23. 9 days and not a single word from Asus about how they are totally willing to screw me out of my money if I use the BIOS that they released. I spent $900 on this upgrade, I don't have another $300 to throw at a motherboard because I can't guarantee the first one is covered under warranty. My current BIOS isn't even safe. I have the first fix BIOS they came out with that supposedly capped voltages at 1.30 but Steve proved that wrong as well. I want LTT's reach. I want their big giant foot to come down and make Asus suffer. Hold these companies to their word.
  5. Welp, I waited and I'm glad I did. Steve @ Gamers Nexus released his video and it's not a good idea to install it because Asus is a garbage company. Unfortunate.
  6. I recently switched from a 9900k to a 7800x3D. I haven't had a red chip since the Athlon X2 6400+. The install went smoothly but then I got wrapped up in the Asus BIOS drama and have changed my BIOS more in the past month than in my entire lifetime. I'm still wondering whether my CPU had seen any damage after running DOCP for a week before the news broke. I've been crashing in RB6 and I never have prior to this swap. I've also experienced a few BSOD's, including one where I was just sitting at the desktop. Parts are listed below. Asus B650 PROART-CREATOR mobo. 32GB of Gskill RAM running at the advertised speed. 6000mhz. The newest Beta BIOS(1410) shows these points. 1. Update AGESA version to Combo AM5 PI 1.0.0.7. 2. Support 48/24GB high-density DDR5 memory module. 3. SoC voltage for Ryzen 7000 series limited to a maximum of 1.30V to protect the CPU and motherboard. The last sentence has already been applied in the current version(1303) I am using. I switched to Asus because I missed their BIOS layout but got instantly burned with their shit handling of this issue. Can I switch to the Beta BIOS? Will it be safe or not? Should I wait? I just want some stability and go back to gaming without needing to worry about a crash.
  7. I too had this issue but reached out to CS. They wrote back today and said they will be moving over to UPS for US customers soon. I'm in Tampa, FL, it took 15 days for my stuff to arrive as well.
  8. I have this cap from my last bottle that I replaced. It flips up and it works like a straw. It's leakproof. It worked on the LTT bottle but I would happily buy another to replace it. Using the other cap that came with the 64oz bottle makes drinking out of it unwieldy. Tipping this big ass bottle up for a drink is weird, I tried it once and it was a big nope. I've used this cap for 2 years without issue. It's relatively easy to clean. Is this something you have looked at and if not, is it something you might consider for the future?
  9. Thats what I didn't factor, a way to measure the actual water temps. So this would be a no-go unless I was able to figure out a way to get a sensor into the water.
  10. From my knowledge, the Aquasuite that comes with the Octo controls fans and pump speeds based on water temps instead of the CPU temps. Which makes the fans not ramp up excessively like they do with my AIO controlled through the motherboard. I feel like control this way would lead to a quieter system overall. CPU AIO is an Arctic 360mm for an 9900k. GPU AIO is an EVGA Hybrid kit. Is there a way to control my AIO's with the Octo? I have AIO's on my CPU and 3080. The original goal was to do a custom loop but I cannot afford to have any downtime so I decided against it last minute(work from home, gaming/work pc).
  11. I was about to post something just like this. I swapped in a gtx1080 from a RX 460, ran great for a few days and now doesn't run. CPU's have been running this whole time.
  12. No one has a clue on this? Figured someone might have a decent idea.
  13. Noctua NF-F12's should do the trick. They are a bit pricey and quite ugly but they are fantastic!
  14. I helped a friend of mine put Win10 on his SSD after hearing that he still had Windows on his HDD. Install went smooth, nothing out of the ordinary. He installed Discord and now when he loads any type of program on his PC, his sound crackles and distorts. From my perspective, it sounds like a network issue but hes tried everything for it on that spectrum. I can't figure it out. Google was no help, so I ask you guys. Theres a video below so you can hear the exact issue as its happening. This is my friend speaking as he loads a program, the sound is the same on his end. Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yW3r41fETFI&feature=youtu.be
  15. Currently, all my torrents are stored on my PC in a 4TB drive. I just recently bought 3 4TB WD Red drives. I then realized my case couldn't handle all the drives. A friend offered this piece of hardware for free, I gladly accepted. https://www.amazon.com/Mediasonic-HFR2-SU3S2-PRORAID-Drive-Enclosure/dp/B003YFHEAC Now, I want to transfer all the torrents I have to these drives. Then, add that extra drive to the array. I assume its not as easy as it sounds and wanted to know how to go about this without losing any data. Can I add a drive after I've setup the RAID array without losing the data? I plan to use RAID 5. Thanks!
