  1. I have had issues with asus with previous older builds .. Some people say x99 deluxe is great build but some people report broken motherboards ! Hence the confusion !!
  2. MSI is there, but i always thought they are more geared towards Gaming and never really have herd about motherboards hence didnt even see those . Flipkart Yes ! amazon also seems good.
  3. HI, really confused by the reviews on the internet . I am from India and only USB 3.0 Asus boards are available online . I wasnt able to find the 3.1 ones Which one to purcahase Asus X99-Deluxe vs Gigabyte SOC FORCE Asus X99-A vs Gigabyte GA-UD4 I am worried many people have complained about Asus x99-delux boards not working after a few days and i do have personal experience of asus customer care sucking badly on the other hand it seems to be the better board in terms of features.... Gigabyte does have good hardware but some ppl have complained about bios in Newegg/Amazon as well.. Can you please help for the new build ?
  4. Same issue here, corsair has lot of trust But G.Skill seems to be clear better ??
  5. Hey guys, I am kinda new here... I am building a system with Asus x99 , 5930k etc etc Hence need a DDR4 kit i was thinking from http://amzn.to/1H2kfPQ or http://amzn.to/1AVg5Yb or http://amzn.to/1F5ZBAj-- Ballistix Don't plan to overclock to extreme limits !! , hence looking for default configurations itself The cost difference doesnt seem much , but g.skill one has lower latency numbers which is making me bias to G.Skill ! but on the other hand we have "coarsair Vengeance" ... Really confused ! Both have lifetime warranty, i am to purchase the kits during my visit to US , as the cost in my country is literally Double of whats available in US!! thats amazing price for already pricy ddr4 sticks !
  6. I think the first video i disliked from the LinusMediaGroup, not that the build is bad.... but the build is supposed for distributed computing and this seems just a random overkill build ... Its like when building a system for some purpose, you need to choose components which are lease slightly inclined to the main purpose .. A distributed system doesnt need to have a motherboard designed for Gaming for once... Not that it cant be used , but a distributed COMPUTING system doesnt need So many SATA ports provided by that motherboard and other features that might be useful for a gamer Its just like you are trying to use stuff caz someone sponsored it ..... some time should have spent to find a stable motherboard, probably cheaper to save cash which after saving in every component can be used to get a extra GPU which would increase its computing power... Having 2 approx ssd are also big face palm its good that he least mentions about that in the video. Point being you tried to build a system that was capable for doing everything /// which defies the purpose of it being TAILORED for distributed computing . Instead of doing something this overkill ,a more experienced option would have been adding another card and spending on that rather than having spent on entire system Moreover, the MOST important thing that should be considered in these builds is the power to performance ratio as a system designed for distributed computing needs to be on most of time. You cant justify 10% increase in performance by spending 50% more power... In short, luke, seriously i personally think instead of studying each component and then doing the build, you just build another general purpose overkill system Should have researched a bit , studying the power and computing factors least ( we can ignore the initial setup cost if you really want to spend too much like in the video )
  7. Would be great to have the NUC ! For May be grid computing !!
