  1. Damn, tried to use the sensors in the hardware, but as the sensor only get the outside temp of the equipment, it won't get above 50 celsius, so that won't work. I have the older model of the current Fan controller i'm using, in my server, and that works fine, all the way down to 0 degrees Why did they have to change it ? If i could find a used Scythe Kaze Server, that would solve my problems http://www.scythe-eu.com/no_cache/en/pressrelease/product/scythe-kaze-server-35-intelligente-lueftersteuerung-fuer-den-889-cm-35-zoll-schacht.html
  2. @LoGiCalDrmThat's actually not a bad idea, i haven't thought of that.... there is a probe for each fan that the current controller uses today.
  3. Here are some pictures of my settings. I changed the voltage for the cpu to 1.2 v, it wasn't running 4.6 GHz at 1.15 as i tried first. I ran pubg fine for 2,5 hours. with these temps:
  4. watch the video linus made, explained it perfectly, worked like a charm for me
  5. for my current 4.6 GHz OC i started with loading defaults, and going from there. I'll snap some photos of my current settings when i get home, this is driving me nuts.
  6. Manuel voltage on everything? I don't know what to set it all to. I've set the voltage for the CPU to manuel at 1.2V, and it still overheats.
  7. Hi. I've had my 7700k OC'ed to 4.8 GHz for 1½ years, without any problems. I wanted to OC my RAM aswell, and when i overdid it, i had to reset my BIOS. And now, i can't remember my !"#!!"%! settings! My 7700k gets very hot now, with minimal OC, i can barely get 4.6 GHz. It hits 96 degrees while playing PUBG I remember i fiddled with the BIOS alot when i OC'ed it 1½ years ago, but i can't remember what i did, to make it stabile. If there was a place to get some help, it's here Please, help me EDIT: Before someone tells me to delid, or to reapply thermal paste! This was working fine, before i had to reset the BIOS, so i can't see how suddenly the thermal conductivity can be broken by a reset of BIOS
  8. Sorry, did you read the post? There is no computer controlling the fans
  9. Hi. I'm looking for a fan controller, but not to use it in a PC :) I've made a small serverroom in my home, and i've installed fans in there. One for fresh air, and one to output the "old" hot air. This works perfectly, but i have to adjust it manually as it is now. I've used these fans: Intake fan: https://noctua.at/en/nf-a20-flx Output fan: https://noctua.at/en/nf-a14-industrialppc-2000 And right now i'm using this fan controller for them: http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/pc-accessory/kaze-master-ii.html This system works, but unfortunately this fan controller, cannot be set to adjust fan speed, as long as temperatures are in the 15-35 degrees range, which the room will be in (hopefully not higher xD) So, i'm looking for a fancontroller that can: Adjust fan speeds using voltages, since it's not PWM fans Adjust the fans according to the temperature in the room, that will be in the 15-35 celsius range. Turn of the fan completely off, and start it again if the room gets hot. (this will only be for the intake fan) I'm hoping that someone have stumpled upon a fan controller that can do this :P Best regards, Dennis.
  10. oh, and i ofc want the kraken to turn the correct way, not upside down.
  11. Hi. In my plan to upgrade my PC, i'm thinking of getting these parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/M9TZvV My worry is, that the Kraken x62 will block one or two of the RAM slots. I've seen this being discussed in other threads, not on this motherboard though. Can anyone comfirm or deny that the x62 will block the RAM?
  12. What motherboard did you use in the end? I'm myself am planning a new PC, and i want the x62 and a ASUS ROG STRIX Z270H, but know i'm not sure if it is a good fit I want the AIO to face the right way, and i don't want it blocking my RAM.
  13. I'm kind of considering getting a new AIO cooler for my system, so that can get a bigger one, and my GF can inheriet my H80i. Is it possible to buy a AIO without fans? I wish to use all Noctua fans in my system, so if i could save some money by getting one without fans that would be great. And which AIO is best? The case is a Define S, so there should be plenty of room for it, and i was thinking of getting a 280mm AIO rad.
  14. @MrAwesomepants @Maxinfamily @Johntheawesomeguy My girlfriend has a Geforce 650 with 2 GB VRAM, which seems like enough for now, i'm keeping my 970 strix in my system. I have a Corsair H80i for my CPU now, and my girlfriend has some old zalman air cooler. Actually not sure if that fits on the LGA1155 socket, need to check that. But for now i wasn't planning on upgrading the CPU coolers. As mentioned, i'm not buying these things right now, but maybe in a couple of weeks or a month. I live in Denmark where prices are pretty high as it is, and the general price of the 7700k hasn't dropped yet, it's still 3000 DKK ~ 427,29 $
  15. My lady has been bitching alot about her current PC (my old one) more and more lately, so i think it's time for a upgrade. She has started streaming, and her current PC just can't keep up anymore. Or, well, that means it's time for me to update MY current PC so she can have my old one My current system is: Windows 10 64-bit Intel Core i7 2600K @ 3.40GHz (OC'ed 4 GHz) Asus P8P67 PRO (LGA1155) 4 x 4 GB Kingston (Part Number 9905403-181.A00LF) 250GB Samsung 850 EVO 3 TB Western Digital WDC WD30EFRX Asus Strix GeForce GTX 970 Corsair HX650 2 x Asus VE247H monitors. I do however only play games on one of them, the other is for browsing/running KODI at the same time as i'm gaming. I'm planning on keeping the SSD and HDD, and the 2 monitors. Rest is going to my girlfriend. The new parts i'm thinking of buying are these: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2YtxkT Reasons for parts are these: CPU; I've been really happy with my 2600k, it runs fast and is reliable. I do a fairly bit of reencoding with handbrake and it does it fairly fast. Wouldn't mind if it went faster though. Motherboard: I have great experience with Asus products, and this motherboards looks like it has all i need. I'm planning on changing the fans in my case to newer Noctua PWM fans, so the motherboard needs to have PWM headers. I'm not sure if there is a cheaper model i could go for that would serve just as well as this one. I also want the option the overclock in the future. RAM; 16 GB has been enough for me in my current PC, i rarely reach max on memory, it has happened sometimes when i've been working a bit in Photoshop or Lightroom. The RAM is on the QVL for the motherboard. PSU; I've had Corsair PSU's for a long time, and i've been very happy with them. I like that this one is fully modular so i have the option to get some nice custom cables later on if i want to get it all nice and pretty I know that I should wait a bit more for Ryzen, so that the Intel prices (hopefully) would drop a bit. And i'm not saying that i'm buying all this right now, but i would like to have it all sorted as this is going to happen in the next month or two. I don't feel comfortable going with a Ryzen CPU, maybe the next generation of them. As i have poor experience with AMD products, both in my private life and in my work as an IT-Supporter.
  16. Hi. I'm getting a ZyXEL USG 110 from work to use at home. That is a quite powerful firewall, and i would like that to encrypt my data, rather than my PC. I'm currently using beevpn.com as a provider, but i already contacted them regarding using the USG110 as a client, and that is not possible with them. So, do anyone know of any VPN provider that can connect to that firewall? I'm located in Denmark, and my internet speed will be 100 mbps when i move in the near future.
  17. I want a new GPU so I can upgrade my GF's PC, she's running a 460 the poor girl.
  18. Hmm, proberly could. All files are stored on a server running RAID5, and i just used USB drives because i don't need the functionallity of a NAS, my server handles all that and more. Also, a NAS would use more power, atleast i think so.
  19. Hi. Not quite sure if I posted this in the correct place, if not, please move it I'm current using 5 seperate USB drives for backup of my data. I started with 3 drives, then added another, and then again, another. I'm running out of USB ports, and the solution is quite as clean as i want it to be. So, i'm searching for an enclosure for multiple drives, that connects to the PC with 1 USB 3.0 cable. The drives should still show up as seperate drives, so no RAID. Does such an enclosure exist? Or do i need to tinker myself with a USB HUB and a old PC case or something like that? Best regards, Dennis.
  20. err_gfx_d3d_init this error is very common, and isn't necessarily caused by you OC. I get the same error once in a while if i'm watching youtube or some video on my secondary screen while playing. I've also seen this error, when i OC'ed my 970 Strix. Before a GTA 5 update, the error also came out of nowhere, everytime i had a cutscene in multiplayer.
  21. I've now had the HyperX Cloud for a couple of days, and i'm very happy with them. I changed the pads from the leather, to the fabric ones, because i couldn't hear myself talk that well when i had the leather ones on. Which resulted in my raising my voice and getting slapped by my girlfriend I have worn them for serverel hours, with very little discomfort, i have to readjust them once in a while. Great audio for the price, i was really supriced!
