  1. Thanks for all your suggestions! I tried all of them except that oven one, but I'm pretty sure it is indeed dead. So now the question is if I should wait for boxing day to buy a new GTX 1060?
  2. Started a couple hours ago. Was playing a game for a while until my screen flickered green and blue and brown and then the HDMI signal stopped. After checking HDMI cables, cleaning out my computer, and stress testing GPU with different settings. The card went from flickering when under load like stress testing to non-existent... The card still outputs to the monitor but no programs can detect it. Just gone. Is it time to lay this veteran to rest or can I do something about it?
  3. Yeah I know it's almost impossible, but it's a preference. Do you recommend any membrane ones?
  4. I'm looking for a good keyboard under $50 CAD. I'll be mostly using it for gaming or typing up reports. What I'd prefer: Backlight Mechanical Any suggestions help! Thanks

  6. I place my monitor with the back facing the door so I have a few extra seconds to close a few tabs just in-case someone comes in without knocking.
  7. I'll be honest with you... I have no idea. The box just said eVGA NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 780. However it looks like this one.
  8. Been recently thinking about the purchase I made for my new rig. I bought a refurbished eVGA GTX 780 for $300. The price for it on Amazon was around $600. Did you think this purchase was worth it? And how do I make sure this GPU has no problems. Stress test?
  9. Thanks for your help. After so long, it turns out I just needed to reset the CMOS
  10. Looking for a good free anti-virus to protect my new computer. Different websites mostly give me different results so I want to see someone's personal opinions on what they think are the best anti-virus software. Right now it seems most people like Avast.
  11. I've been doing tests the entire day but can't seem to find the issue... I'm going to go get a PS/2 adapter tomorrow and hopefully it'll work.
  12. Computer Specs: CPU: Intel i5 4690k Mobo: MSI Z97-G55 SLI GPU: eVGA Geforce GTX 780 PSU: eVGA Supernova 750 B2 RAM: Kingston HyperX 8GB SSD: Kingston SSDnow 120GB HDD: Seagate 1tb OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit Problem: None of the USB ports work. Some Background Info: Built the computer and got it running a couple days ago (December 21st), and everything was good. Installed all compatible drivers and got my regular programs running. How it Happened I was charging my phone with my new PC, and I decided to try the super charger utility from the MSI Z97 G55 SLI Download page. While scrolling down the utility page, I also found MSI fast boot. So, I downloaded both of them, and installed each. After finishing installation, MSI Fast Boot asked me, If it could restart my computer so the Fast Boot Technology could start running. I allowed it and so my PC restarted. After it's done restarting and I'm back on my desktop. I realized that Fast Boot wasn't enabled, so I enabled it and decided to test how fast it would be. I right clicked the Windows 8 Icon on the bottom left, without thinking I pressed Update & Restart. So I waited around 15 minutes to install 58 updates. The computer finally finished and rebooted, after the BIOS screen, Windows gave me the Recovery/Error screen, with the error code 0xc000000e Then I realized that my keyboard and mouse no longer worked. Extra Information: I've just done some testing, and it turns out some items work with the USB ports. Old Mouse: Lights up Old MP3: Shows Charging Phone: Nope Tablet: Nope So if anybody could bring some light upon this question, that would be highly appreciated!
