    Is it really backlight bleed though? To me it looks much more like IPS Glow. My PG279Q has the same and when you move your head so you are straight in front of one of the corners it is gone, if that is the case it is IPS Glow.

    What is wrong with the current or early batches? I have one and I have 0 issues so far.

    The monitor in the link you posted is an Apple Cinema Display, not Thunderbolt. It has a mini displayport cable coming from the back.
