    PCIe 3.0 4x is PCIe 2.0 8x, which is more then fine. Don't worry about it

    I'd suggest getting a new CPU, Motherboard, PSU, and maybe a nice air-cooler.

    i5-4440 is better for H81/B85 boards, because it's guaranteed compatible without possibly needing a BIOS update to use Refresh chips.
     
    No game at the moment will run any better with an i7 over an i5. 
     
    Also save your money and get the i5-4440, 4690 non-K will be of no benefit.

    Do not get Corsair RM PSU's, they are a waste of money.
