  1. Bummer was looking to get one for my wife and I and was hoping for some discount link/code.
  2. Found a solution for other viewers of this thread:
  3. Bump. So I learned my work macbook air doesn't use thunderbolt, it uses USB C. Do we know if USB C can carry both data from my mouse/keyboard and my monitor?
  4. It looks like the thunderbolt is probably the easiest way. My MacBook uses it for the dongle with all their peripherals but my PC doesn't have something like that. Wish there was a more cost effective solution. I wonder if it's some sort of license fee that makes it cost so much
  5. Hey everyone, I recently started working from home and while I love it I hate that before/after work i need to unplug/plug my keyboard, mouse, speaker, and monitors from my gaming rig to my macbook. Is there anyway to condense all my cables into one that i can plug switch at my desk level instead of going under the table to fish for wires? I'm looking for any solution really because this is such a pain in the butt.. Maybe some fellow WFH'ers share in the pain and how they may have overcome it. please... i. beg. you... Work laptop is a 2020 macbook air My PC has USB C
  6. Simple enough test it looks like my CPU gets to 70-100% utilization while my GPU sits at max 40%. That would be considered a bottle neck right? Even at idle my GPU is at 30ish while my CPU is at 60% It should run on a potato but some instances get intense with all the lightning effects. Can't play hardcore like this
  7. Ya I had a 8350 for a while before i gave the pc to a friend. I run a nice Noctua cooler and I think the mounting for the 8320 is the same as the 4100 so should be good on that front. The chip is already clocked to it's max from when I first bought it
  8. My computer is pretty damn old. I only upgraded the GPU a while back from a 7850 to a 960. I don't game much but I play Path of Exile when I do and sometimes I lag like shit. I can't tell if the game is CPU or GPU intensive though. My CPU is a FX 4100 and my GPU is a GTX 960. I was going to upgrade the CPU but if I do to a Ryzen then that means I need to change my motherboard and my RAM to DDR4 and well the prices on RAM is doo doo baby. So if anything I was thinking to just upgrade to a 8320 and upgrade to 8350 specs then resell that later when and if prices for RAM go down. Thoughts?
  9. It may well be but for some reason the task im trying to execute won't work in powershell I got nothing to hide buddy, call me retarded lol This only replaces it when you press Win + X But knowing how to redirect helped so that's good for some reason the task im trying to execute won't work in powershell
  10. It's so annoying, I shift right click on folders and stuff and the only option I get is for Powershell. I'll hit File on the top left of the window and it'll give me the Powershell option instead of CMD prompt. I can't figure out how to switch paths from C: drive to D: drive either. Can someone explain to me how I can switch all this powershell back to cmd prompt? and also how I switch paths to my D: drive
  11. Sounds like it'll be hit or miss and some hiccups if it does work but ill give it a shot using windows 10 installation media tool and then install it in the laptop. I've moved my personal drive to a friends computer which was intel cpu and amd graphics and it works perfectly but a laptop makes me feel like it's going to be a mess.
  12. Will I run into problems if I use my desktop to install Windows on an SSD then move the SSD to a Dell Inspiron 3520? My desktop is: FX-4100 GTX 960
  13. Correct, in this case 256GB I also have a 500gb 850pro if she ever needs to upgrade space.
