  1. Really hoping somebody can help me as I’ve spent hours on this and am getting nowhere. Recently put together a new build with the following components: Asus X570-F gaming mobo Ryzen 5900x 2 X 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB pro 3600mhz Gefore GT 710 Sabrent Rocket NVMe 4.0 1tb Asus 1000g PSU Upon powering on the PC I’m greeted with the Asus splash screen with the message ‘Please press DEL or F2 to enter UEFI BIOS setting’, but no matter what I press, nothing happens. The motherboard’s post led is solid green and the DRAM light is solid orange. The hard drive and ram are in the slots recommended by Asus. All parts were purchased brand new direct from Amazon Japan (the mobo was unsealed but aside from a Japanese manual having been added it doesn’t look like anything else had been touched). The cable for my aio cooler is also plugged into the cpu fan header. Ive tried: 3 different USB keyboards (I don’t have a PS2 keyboard nor is there a PS2 port on the mobo). Reseating the ram and trying each stick separately. Reseating the graphics card and switching it out to another slot. Reseating the CPU and checking for bent pins. Completely removing the hard drive and any other things plugged into the mobo that didn’t need to be there (effectively trying with just the graphics card, cpu, aio cooler and a single stick of ram). Checking all power connections both to the mobo and into the psu. Removing and reinserting the CMOS battery. I’m inclined to think it’s an issue with the ram due to the orange LED, but I find it hard to believe that both sticks would be faulty. Would really appreciate any pointers on other things that I could try or ideas on how I could correctly diagnose the issue as as things stand I wouldn’t know which part to return (preferably ideas that don’t require swapping for other parts as I have none). Cheers. Tom Edit: just had to update the bios. Am guessing it was a compatibility issue with 3rd gen ryzen which I hadn’t thought of as the board was specifically advertised as needing a bios update as some of the others did.
  2. If I won I would return the 5820K I purchased last week and use the new one instead. I'd probably use the money saved to add a second 970 to the build.
