The r9 390 has decent performance its just its heat and power draw it think, but at the same price point the gtx 970 out performs the r9 390

if you can afford the difference the gtx 1060 is better than the 970 in my opinion

How long are you looking for this upgrade to last you for because in my opinion a I5 would be fine for games today, its just the question of future proof, also what titles do you play or are planing on playing?

Whats you budget if you have one but, 1060 is the way to go unless that's too expensive. In my opinion

Hi I have just installed a new GTX 970 gigabyte wind force g1 gaming and I have no way of testing it or plugin my screen in to it currently as my 1440p screen is broke so have to use old hannspree 1600x900 (VGA) screen and wondering if the integrated graphics have been automatically disabled by installing the GPU as can not get any display on screen. My dad uses a brand new 27inch I Mac, I tried to get them to buy are let me build them a pc for the same price, but that's allot better. However no look, "apparently" macs have a lot better for price to performance. NOT!!!!!

You should get a Gtx 970 and a I5-4670k/I5-4690k if over clocking or a I5-4670/I5-4690 if possible in the price limit.
