Hey folks, got a question:
I've been planning on upgrading my GPU -and some other parts - for quite some time now and can't really decide what to do.
My situation: I'm considering myself a frequent gamer (nowadays about ~3h daily - has been more) and i absolutely HATE delay, lags, stutters, frame drops and so on...
Current System: msi GTX770 OC
Gigabyte GA-X99-UD5
Intel i7 5820k (no OC)
Corsair LPX 16GB 2133Mhz
Win 10
Oh, Screen is a LG UM65 something (2560x1080)
I mainly play a CS:GO mod that you can basically play on a potato but i throw in new titles and demanding Games from time to time.
Though my 770 works absolutely fine I know its time has come in my rig (Witcher 3 really didnt run well...)
I planned on getting a 980Ti (Didnt have the greatest experiences with the AMD-line in the past) but nvidia seems to have new stuff in the pipeline - big surprise...
Now i know there has not been too much out about Pascal and 2016's realeases but the stuff thats out there has honestly confused me a bit.
I dont really know if it will be worth it to wait for this years releases or to strike now and get a 980Ti.
It's not a matter of time and money for me (as long as its not significantly more expensive than nvidias flagships atm), I don't need it right away, though it would suck to wait 6 months to get 5 fps more for +200$ (or so...)
I use my PC for Gaming as i said above and various Programs for University stuff (Rhinoceros, Photoshop, Illustrator..No Video editing!) - Though i never really had any big demands concerning GPU power there - works really good.
If you guys have a recommendation or if you can clear things up for me about this years' releases of nvidia I'd be glad to hear it.
Thanks!
