  1. Oh damn. Did search but couldn't find. Oh well, ignore this. Mods can you please close? Thankyou.
  2. Hi all, Not really "tech news" but wanted to let you all know the Steam Summer Sale has begun! Open up Steam and it should be started! Screenshot from my Steam Page: http://gyazo.com/5a403d4405d6b5e6202401f226458297 Another source confirming too: http://www.joystiq.com/2014/06/19/steam-summer-sale-2014-and-so-it-begins/ Glad it's started, time to get spending!
  3. Is their a specific reason? It's a good price but looks exactly the same as my current one, plus I don't like the bezel size. But if it's really good I'll consider it.
  4. Hi all, Recently an offer came up on Amazon for the MX239H and I'm just wondering if anybody in here has got one or had experience with one? It's only £130 and I have a £20 gift certificate to use making it £110 for AH-IPS. Just wondering about backlight bleed and ghosting mainly. Would be upgrading from a VH242H. Use it for both my PC and PS4 using my old monitor for a dual set-up. Thanks, Kieran
  5. I game a LOT on my PC It's my primary platform. I'm still deciding but will wait closer to the time for some sales to arise, in which Amazon UK do a "Back to Uni" sale if I recall correctly. Sure they did one last year!
  6. Completely forgot about Chromebooks! Damn! Thanks for the recommendation! Will look into deeper detail, cheers!
  7. That makes it even more compelling to be honest. I just don't know what to do about my desktop computer though, do I take my desktop and a laptop, or just stick with a laptop and sell my PC. I game on my PC too which is what I do in my free time, however, sticking with a laptop seems more practical.
  8. That's very informative thankyou! Out of them two as you have agreed upon, I prefer the iPad Air, that Battery Life is outstanding! Thanks for your help anyway, will take this into serious consideration!
  9. HI all, I'm currently looking for a laptop for my University studies next year and struggling to come across some compelling options. I just wanted to ask the fellow LTT community if they have any recommendations for my use case scenario. I plan to slap in a 120GB Evo anyway to speed things up. Requirements Powerful enough for Office and Web Browsing and Watching Media - YouTube, HD Video etc. Under £500 Good Build Quality Great Portability (Not of that thick stuff) Good Battery Life - 4+ Hours Preferably Touch Screen While I would like a good screen too it's not an necessity. I just want a laptop that is fast for my use case, won't slow down though my lectures or run out of battery. The cheaper the better! I have a current rig where I will do most of my work on, it's just a laptop would be handy for portability. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!
  10. Source: http://thepcenthusiast.com/msi-z97-mpower-max-overclocking-motherboard-revealed/ Here is a reveal of the MSI Z97 MPOWER MAX motherboard. I personally think that it looks great, especially the "M" on the heatsink for the chipset. It has its traditonal black/yellow theme to match its "Lightning" GPU's. It's watercooling ready in regards to the MOSFET and the SFC's, allowing you to add these to your watercooling loop. Looks like a lot of room for expansion too, including a connection for the M.2 standard of SSD's; however no connection for SATA Express. Would add more but currently tired so will add more if I need too. Just wanted to post this will the fellow LTT community! What do you guys think of the board? Yay or Nay?
  11. My. God. My eyes. Smashing job! One of the best computers I have ever seen!
  12. Ahhhh thanks for the clarification! Keep them coming please, find them so good.
  13. I really like the look of the Gene, thinking of getting that for my next build. Pair it with a Red Parvum Systems S2.0, my current 8GB RAM, custom sleeved cables and a H220X. Hmmmmmmm. May be overused but I save money and get to use the Parvum.
  14. I'd say that's fine for an APU! Getting faster MHz RAM and possibly adding a GPU will boost your graphical horsepower. But getting a high end one would then result in a CPU bottleneck. For overall system snapiness, add a SSD.
  15. I played it for awhile now and I find it therapeutic Great game driving around in my Iveco!
