Hey no worries theres always a way.. we will need a way to operate the mouse and keyboard to diagnose the problem, if it works at boot up go into your bios settings and look for usb settings try different settings to enabled disabled and partial see if any make a difference try one then reboot repeat until no options left..there is settings to turn off and on certain usb ports, check in the device manager or main board manual which port the f_d up usb is . and disable it ,, there still might be crossed pin somewhere which will mess up your drivers the faulty usb needs to be disabled in the bios.first thing if possible.so not to cause any more damage...if not then disconnect the cable from the faulty usb port to the main board, and try that..next try reinstalling a driver from ms or logitech this might help as well.use the device manager to update the drivers for the k.b and mouse ok now if all else fails there is stilll a way ,. go to the computer store and buy a pci usb card for about 10$ make sure it has a driver with it.and that its compatible with your mainboard. place it in the pci slot carefully tighten the bolt and install the driver ...easy as hell...now you have working usbs . https://www.google.ca/search?q=usb+pci+card&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&gws_rd=cr&ei=6V-KVPasO83noASegoHYAw one more thing take a magnifying glass and look inside the port to see if any pins are touching.turn off computer .if they are your in luck seperate them with a steak knife or a eye glass screw driver and seperate the touching pins once done reconnect all cables and enable settings in bios start system if working awesome.. if not ..delete or uninstall all the drivers for the old keyboard and mouse then reboot the computer if the usb ports are detected then windows will reinstalll the drivers auto matically basically a reset to rid the corupted old drivers. if that works awesome if not you still have usbs.make sure you put tape over the dead usb port and do not enable it.. first test your drives to see they work by just plugging the power in the h.d leave the connector off ,, turn on system see if the drives are spinning ,next if they work ,turn off system and plug the connector in ,see if it still spins. if not your connector is not compatible with that style h.d , some dirves have full connector pins on the back others have onemiddle pin missing... this makes a huge difference with sata connections..so if thats the reason then.. your drives are not set up for your mother board , sometimes they will work sometimes they wont it depends how the main board feels that day..lol raid or sata will not work ,your drives are mechanical so the MB settings must be set to IDE ,you can try to set your drives to CS cable select or slave ,master etc..but must be rebooted twice to make sure the settings kick in....if that doesnt work then i suggest buying a sata to ide adapter .but it takes a little time to read the drive if you can program the specs of the HD into your bios ,it would majorly help ,but most bios now are auto detect..so..? also one more thing if your bios has a profile directory and uses boot secure as the first drive , either move your drive to the front and the boot secure to the back or use a legacy rom as first boot if nescesary. second ..check out your HD bios profile and with the bios software create a profile for thart drive , exit and go back into bios and select the profile you created.i think it can actually mirror the contents of a drive.but you must set alll settings on mb to run an IDE drive as well. kind of a pain , but it works. good luck.

I would suggest going back to the 32 bit version ,i bet all this happened after you got the 64 bit windows,the same thing happened to me my computer ran perfect ,until i installed the 64 bit win7 i had problems connecting to certain games online as well,run time errors always come up,dont bother with win 8 or 8.1 microsoft is no longer supporting windows anymore yeah ..unfrkn real...so they passed off the support to the main board companys like AMD CATALYST .. ATI FUEL.. DELL DIGITAL DELIVERY.... NVIDIA DAEMON ... ASUS ii CONTROL CENTER......GATEWAY ESET.....ETC...these companys have theyre own data base on your computer and try to do repairs through the data base which i wish they would have let us know. i thought i had a hijacker and kept deleting the database at first ..they got pretty upset.. I was so disgusted by how badly it was handled so i turned off my updates ,there are so many people getting errors now after an upgrade, defender is one of the programs that gets shut off through an update it causes problems with some companys updates..but leaves your system open for remote hijack ,the others are wrong visual c+++ netframe works etc to try and repair the errors but make it worse.i have a runtime error from the AMD64 bit and an MSx86 file conflict that no one knows how to fix.. as the c+++ programs are not meant to be diagnosed..yet..!!! to put in plain words .....memmory leaks!!! warning.....memmory leaks.!!!!! error ....... memmory leaks !!! ...crash..!!!! the 64 bit willl work fine on some systems depending on the company .and the owner win8 needs alot of attention to work properly. PS dont bother taking it to a repair shop . been there.... they adjusted the paging file and a few other tweaks .that worked for a day ..and tried to charge me 40$ one thing might help you..is when you installl a program there are 2 program file directories one is x86 the other is 64bit when installing make sure a 32 bit and 64 bit program goes in the right folder ,you can choose where the program is installed through the browse box .good luck

download glary utilities5,9 run clean system files,,,delete ,next run privacy traces ... delete ...run reg clean ,,repair ,,,,,run registry repair ...wait until done now run free space cleaner...this will rid all of the deleted files stored in your free space do at least a 3 x file eraser run these every second day to keep computer clean and fast.. use the other utilitys for performance espescially the background and start up tasks . the tasks can be adjusted in a easy to use window.. one more thing is choose the OTHER SYSTEMS box and select the drives you want scanned ,open the c drive and click on recycle bin ...delete the whole folder .. make sure all boxes are checked off when doing a scan except custom reg files and downloaded programs. your sytem should run faster.on the tasks bar both your drive and cpu usage should be less than 20% few more things check your paging file in SYSTEM/ SYSTEM PROPERTYS/ADVANCED/make sure you have enough physical disk memmory...set it to 8 gig ,SAVE now select visual effects and change settings to CUSTOM remove the checked boxes you dont need or use..this should speed up your mouse game play online ,,SAVE
