  1. Ram is only 2 months old, graphics card, SSD, cpu cooler, case, fans and HD I just purchased for this build. CPU, mobo, PSU and dvd-rw is original. Not sure how long ago she bought it.
  2. I will probably redo the SATA connectors, I only did that for temp for loading the OS with just the SSD in. Also planning on moving up the fan 1 slot as well. the 24 pin is soo short it BARELY reaches and that IDE cable is annoying but the SATA drive I have isn't a burner :(
  3. If I didn't lose my ass selling honest decent builds, I wouldn't have to oversell it this much. Power supply cables are extremely short. The Ibuypower PSu it came with was top mounted, so I cannot route them like I usually do. I do agree with the ribbon cable. I ordered one, but it will take 2-3 weeks.
  4. Well, there is not a single game that needs more than a GTS 450 to play that being crysis 3. I believe playing metro/crysis 3 I was playing on medium settings @ 1080p. Atleast unlike most eBayers, I actually am using a gaming graphics card, unlike those SERIOUS GAMING HD 5450 2GB :)
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlDpWs1IoLk I've been losing my ass recently even though I've been putting together decent low cost PC's. I really need to make up what I've lost especially being unemployed. Other than saying the I7 is better than the I5 given it's a 3570 vs I7-920, I tried to not overdo it too much. GTX 650 TI can play anygame @ 1080p, although I never specified the settings. EDIT: They took my auction down. They claimed copy write. They thought I was selling windows...
  6. I'm actually not kidding, although im usually barefoot. But I touch the case constantly.
  7. Hit 100*C under prime 95 according to Elrics tests.
  8. Another warning for NCIX. If you have fraud prevention on your CC, they will flag every transaction as fraud and freeze the purchase because NCIX is located in Canada headquarters wise.
  9. Yes, finding CPU coolers that fit LGA 1366 for less than 20 bucks BEFORE rebates is tough!!
  10. Years ago I owned an Asus prebuilt PC that had like 1 fan in it. It was cramped and ram my OC'ed GTX 480 with an I7-920 on a 430W PSU for 2 years. This was before I really knew about building my own from scratch. I did have software to monitor my GTX 480. It ran at around 90*C for a year (and it lasted another 2 years then I sold it). But my room was 35*C all summer due to this. So now I have an I7-920 in this build I am selling, and it idles at 45*C, and around 50*C in windows and around 70-80*C in extreme gaming. Forgot how hot this CPU ran. Yes it's a stock heatsink, I am selling it soon on eBay so not very concerned about it. This is a friends PC she gave me and I overhauled it. But even with 4 case fans DAMN lol...
  11. Can't give them away as I said in the post :(
  12. When I enter in the license it says its used, try a new key, purchase a new key, call Microsoft, or automative system (calling)
  13. Really? I've done it probably a few dozen times (I sell a lot of PC's). Only takes 2-3 minutes.
  14. I build PC's on a bed with a carpeted surface wearing socks.
  15. Ya I got someone looking to buy a monitor for 50 bucks. Which means i'll have less than 200 invested.
  16. Well, I have about 10 disks laying around. My cousin is a computer engineer for Microsoft so we get the family and friends discount. He says we can sell PC's preinstall and activated but cannot give away the disks. Something I've noticed. If you use the automative system and say 0 when they ask how many PC's it's been installed on, it says verified and gives you a new installation ID. You'd think their system would kick it.
  17. Rather than upgrading my PC now, why not wait for Haswell-E? The question is, will the I7-5930k be 500 bucks?
  18. 250W PSU, I'd go with an HD 7750. Looking to throw 150 at him, and see where he goes from there. But 175+80=255, and I think resale value is around 400ish being a main brand.
  19. I came across an add that just said HP Pavillion. He's asking 175 obo: HP Pavillion P6716F-B Athlon II x4 640 6GB DDR3 1333MHz 1TB HD Keyboard Mouse 1600x900 HP monitor 20inch Looks pretty new, I think it has a COA/restore. I am gonna look at it soon.
