I haven't had any issues with my Seagate drives, even the ones with 55,000+ hours on them. I've had one troublesome Seagate drive, but that's out of a lot.

I think the only bad batch was that 1TB one they had in 2012. I've had several Seagate drives since and they've all been working fine.

Thanks for the replies. I'll definitely look into this more later on. I've got 359GB free on my D: drive (a 2TB one) so I proooooooobably should upgrade at some point.
