Yep bold, At the moment the HDD in my system is the loudest thing and it drives me nutty! -
My first recommendation would be a small SSD for a boot drive, and if you have an NAS, have no mechanical HDD in your pc to make it quieter? And as you seem to be going for a black and red build maybe a matching Asus graphics card, but up to you on that one, wont improve experience of using the pc. Scratch changing the GPU, 900 series ROG cards haven't been released yet

Coldest temp last year in Vancouver was -10 Celsius, if the liquid went back through the house it would warm up the coolant, as long as the inside temp wasn't below freezing. Just an idea, might not work.

On the freezing topic, if you left the main pump on all of the time, the flow would prevent it water from freezing (unless it got really cold), and this would also prevent algae growth. Just an idea.
