First of all, I Didn't know which category should I put this post "Motherboards, Storage, or General". if someone from the admin forgive me for that and if he/she transfer it to proper category. second of all, I'm one of Linus Tech Fan which I always watch there videos and always take there recommendations. Thanks a lot for everything. Most of my knowledge of the Tech is because of you guys. Now lets go to the subject, I have 4770K cpu and etc. and thinking to upgrade but when I feel there is something worth it (SATA 4, or full USB 3.1, or when CPU can get to above 5GHz (in boost mode) without overclocking :P) I was wondering why there is no Motherboards yet support full 3.1 Gen 2 usbs where is should be back compatible for older versions. I read somewhere that Usb 3.1 Gen 2 build-in motherboard used 2 PCIE Lanes ??? is that true ? I tried to search online and didn't find any article or video explaining this. Can someone clarify it ? or someone with Build-in USB 3.1 to see if it really consuming PCIE lanes or no. Best Regards, Rakan Tawabini Petroleum Engineer

I'm noob in OC. are you saying that BCLK frequency will affect the GPU ? I just tried to increase the multiplier to 4.7GHz with 102 BCLK frequency with 1.35V. no Luck BSOD at window boot. I really have a bad one it sucks

Do you increase the multiplier only or BCLK Frequency also ?

Ya i know. I hate that Bad Luck. thats why im using 1.35V atleast I can run 4.7GHz with no issues. I heard that its kinda ok for maxwell if you are using watercooling.

Hey Gents, Thanks Alot for your replies and your help. I went to the BIOS and changed the PCI-E Speed from AUTO to GEN3. And it did the trick as shown below.

YA i know that. Still with GPU Stress test I still see PCI-E 2.0 x16 @ x16 2.0

I updated The GPUZ and its the same.. Why do u think GPUZ is saying that My GPU support 2.0 x16 only? do u think My GPU is damaged ?

I can reach 4.6GHz with multiplier 46 & frequency 100Mhz with 1.3V. less than that The system is not stable.. The temp is consider good and cool but I think I have issue with the CPU

Yes I know. But i like to see 3.0 x16 not 2.0

Hey Gents. First of All, This is my Rig: Asus Motherboard Maximus VII Formula I7-4790K RAM 16G running on 2133MHz Graphic Card : Gigabyte GTX 980 G1 Gaming I installed watercooling Custom loop from XSPC Now My issue, When I installed my Graphics first time it showed that its working on PCI-e 3.0 from GPU-Z Today, I had to remove the graphics to remove the dust. I notice high temp. more than usual and I had some dusty days. After I reinstall my GPU. I notice that its working on PCI-e 2.0 x16 not PCI-e 3.0. .. I forgot to mention that I did OC to the CPU using the Motherboard OC. BCLK frequency: 102MHZ Multiplier: 46 Voltage: ~1.35V Does any1 know why it went to pcie 2.0 not on 3.0 anymore !? Thanks

Everytime I incease the Multiplier to 47. the windows Crashes after few min. although I dont have any issues with the temp. Does anyone knows why? is it CPU limitation ?

I will decrease the Voltage to 1.3 and see how much oc I can get from it .. thanks guys for the replies.
