Thanks for your input! You have helped me alot. I took your recommendation on the MasterAir Maker 8 cooler. I want a bling mobo for whatever reason and it looks like I can get a Maximus VIII Extreme Assembly for the same price as a formula, so I am thinking about just going with that.

 

Quick question, what is the reasoning for going for the Hyper X fury (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TY6A1LY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER) over these vengeances (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0134EW7G8/ref=psdc_172500_t1_B00TY6A1LY)? 

 

Also, the Maximus VIII Extreme Assembly is an eatx board, but I have seen videos of it inside a Corsair Carbdie Series air 540, even though its not offcially listed as an eatx board. Think I'll be alright? Do you know of any resources for board length checking?

    With the ram, I mainly chose the Hyper X fury over the corsair one since its design is better than the other, simple as that. Not to mention Linus and other tech youtubers have shown that higher speed ram really doesn't show any better performance.

     

    As for the board size, I wouldn't know anything about all that. All I can say about board and case size is to ask around for feedback on this site. Tom's hardware is another site you could ask around in about this.

     

    I do know a good amount of cases can support eATX even if they don't say so
