  1. Someone mentioned following Linus since 2013. I think I've watched his video since that computer assembly video where he pointed out how important the static strap is. In the white room I think. I'll try to look it up Edit: Well nvm, I can't find it. But everyone who has seen it knows it

    Formating my HDD.

I out this HDD in my desktop, formated it... It still ignores my USB drive and runs W10 repair, fails to find repair files and that is it. Ok, I managed to get it to boot from USB. Thank you for your help.

    Formating my HDD.

I know I have to press a key.... It just wont boot into USB where my W7 installation is... I might actually have to remove the HDD and format it.. -.-
  4. Use it for home PC. I installed a PC for my grandfather. It runs E7300, 3GB of RAM on WD Caviar Blue SATAII drive and Windows 7 runs smoothly on it.

    Formating my HDD.

Greetings, So, I've had enough with Windows 10 on my GFs laptop (it came preinstalled on Lenovo B590) and I managed to access BIOS and select my bootable USB drive as primary boot option, but it still manages to skip it and log into existing windows. Say I would use brute force and simply format my HDD - can I do it from inside windows and is it safe to say that computer will then use bootable USB as it is the only drive with information on it?
  6. I would like to get the keyboard since backlit keys could be useful while playing games with more complicated controls at night.
  7. How can Prime95 mess with the voltages if voltages are set manually?
  8. The small FFT or the other one? Sorry for double post.
  9. Greetings, So I decided to try and overclock my CPU for the first time. I have a G3258 w/ stock cooler. First I simply rised the multiplayer to 40 and left everything on auto. Then I ran Prime95 small FFTs test for 15 minutes or so. On Core 0 temps were going around 79°C to 82°C mostly staying @ 80°C. Core 1 was staying around 70°C Mobo gave it 1.2v core voltage which seemed a bit too much for 4.0GHz So I went into BIOS and changed muliplier to 42 and core voltage to 1.1v. At the moment it has been running for 15ish minutes @ an average of 75 for Core0 and 65 for Core1. It did raise to 77/69 5 minutes into the test, but then it went down to 74/65. What stress test should I use to check overall stability in long-term?
  10. GPU is tweaked trough software and not MOBO so it doesn't matter what MOBO you have if you want to overclock your GPU. And as far as difference between H and Z boards goes, besides all the features you would probably never use, Z has OC enabled and it works with SSD somewhat better.
  11. What was that "effort in posts" part about?
  12. If I turn it on, I can fix any issues. Thanks guys. And c3p0_, your mobo supports USB BIOS flashback so you don't even need a CPU to flash your bios. Btw, @ what voltage is your CPU running on @ 4.8GHz? And have you found out a voltage that wouldn't damage the chip in long term?
  13. Greetings, So I am about to receive my PSU, the last part I was missing in my build. And as I went trough the list of parts again, I came across an information about MOBO BIOS. http://oi61.tinypic.com/2ekon78.jpg Does that mean that if my MOBO is one of those which was still shipped with older BIOS, it won't recognize my CPU at all? And is there a way to find out what BIOS version my motherboard has without powering it on?
  14. Well at this point I have 3x 3-Pin fans that are connected to the stock fan controller that is built into the case, 2x 4-pin PWM fans that are connected to the MOBO and 1x CPU fan which is connected to the CPU_FAN. I have 7 case fan spots plus the CPU coller up-to-two option. It would be nice to change all the case fans to http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=65&lng=en in future and sync them with CPU fan. Or something similar if it suits my usage and needs.
