  1. Thanks again! One more thing, though. BLCT mentioned the G402, which I can get here for 50$. Is it equal, better or worse?
  2. Thanks for all the answers! To answer some questions: 1, I have a sort of hybrid claw/fingertip grip. My fingers are sort of arched over the mouse button, if that helps. 2, IDK but extra buttons are surely helpful. I mostly play games like Minecraft, Skyrim, Watch_Dogs and BF4.
  3. Hi, I have recently acquired a gaming laptop, and since the touchpad is pretty much useless, I have decided to buy a gaming mouse for around 60$ CAD. I have narrowed the choices down to the Corsair Vengeance M95 and the Logitech G502 Proteus Core. I like mice with lots of buttons, and lights would be a bonus. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know! Thanks in advance!
  4. Thanks for all the replies! Here are the prices: 280X: 199.99$ 280: 164.99 I left out the 290 because I don't really want to take chances with a 30$ adapter. My main question now is are the extra stream processors, texture units and the overclock worth the higher price tag? Thanks again!
  5. Hi, I'm building a new computer, and I'm deciding on the GPU to get. I have to choose between the R9 280(X) or the GTX 770. I know the 770 is better, but there's a catch. I was told my existing monitor, the Dell E176FPc, has a maximum frame rate of 60 FPS. It only accepts VGA-in, so I have to buy a GPU with a DVI-I out to use a DVI to VGA adapter, that's why I cannot get the R9 290. So, I have to choose between getting the GTX 770 and reusing my monitor which can potentially ''bottleneck'' the GPU or the 280(X) along with a new monitor. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  6. Okay, so here's the two main problems: 1, Is the 280X worth the extra stream processors, texture units and the overclock? 2, What would be better between getting something like a GTX 770 and reusing my current monitor or getting something like a 280X and a new monitor? Thanks.
  7. I'll be upgrading the monitor in some time, though. Wouldn't it be better to have a powerful GPU for when that time comes?
  8. I'd say the 4150. When you factor the cost of a cooler and a Z97 board, it costs more than a 4150, stock cooler and a H97 board.
  9. I doubt my monitor can only render 60 FPS max on 1280x1024. It's a Dell E176FPc.
  10. The fact that the R9 290(X) doesn't have any DVI-I outs.
  11. Thanks, but as I already mentioned, the 290(X) is a no-go as I have no options to use a DVI-I to VGA adapter for my older monitor.
  12. Well, there's the 250$ GTX 770: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp42776kr I'm wondering if I should go with the 770 or a cheaper 280X.
  13. My system's really bad, but here we go: Pentium 4 521 Dell 0JC474 1.5 GB of DDR2 non-ECC running @ 533 MHZ (at least that's what CPU-Z is telling me) Integrated graphics with yes, 8 MB of VRAM. You read that right, 8 MEGABYTES Hitachi Deskstar 80 GB 7200 RPM (I believe, might be slower) Generic 230 watt PSU and case from Dell All of that in a Dell Dimension E310 from 2007. Thoughts?
  14. Hmm, interesting. Unless I and Newegg are wrong, the 290 doesn't have a DVI-I out, only DVI-D outs. Thanks for the reply, though.
