  1. I've always used my Xbox360 wireless controllers for my PC needs, but the batteries are starting to go out on them and I lost the AA cases many moons ago. I'm also looking at getting a PS4 in the near future so I was curious what good options there were to cover both uses. I don't really care about price as much as quality and usability.
  2. In the last few days of geeking out over RGB keyboard options, I've realized there are a lot more things I really want than I expected. 1) clicky keys (I lurv my MX Blues) 2) individual key programming 3) multiple profiles Optionals: 4) USB passthrough I really like the idea of being able to share/download different lighting profile a la Corsair's software. I'm not completely married to a particularly keyboard size, but I really don't need a whole bank of macro keys like the K95. I might find use for a few if I had them -- my Quickfire TK doesn't that I know of. I'm really intrigued by the Ducky Shine 6 and the RoG Claymore, which may actually be a myth, in particular. I've not had a Ducky board, but I know when I was shopping for a replacement keyboard a couple years ago it came up a lot. Are there any recommendations beyond the aforementioned? Do you think the Shine 6 will be worth the couple months' wait?
  3. Any thoughts on that vs the upcoming Ducky Shine 6 vs the K70?
  4. I'm relatively new to the world of mechanical keyboards. I've had a Quickfire TK (blue) for about a year or so now. I absolutely love it. Recently I saw Corsair's new ads for their RGB peripherals and that got me wondering if there was a keyboard out there with similar functionality that had MX Blues (or something similar) and possibly a smaller form factor.
  5. I'm curious about the functionality of ultrawide monitors when it comes to multitasking. I've seen videos where people talk about being able to set up multiple spaces on the display for improved functionality, but I wonder how far it can go. I run a 2 monitor setup that I really enjoy, but it's kind of annoying to have the space in the middle where the bezels are. My main concern in switching over is that I often play games while watching movies, browsing youtube, chatting on skype, etc. on the second monitor. Is this possible with Ultrawide monitors these days?
  6. One thing I'm curious about in this same vein is whether you have to exclusively play a game or if it's possible have half the screen with a game and the other half with the normal desktop. I currently have 2 monitors and most of the time I have skype, a movie, youtube, etc. open on one monitor while I'm working or playing something on the other. I'd like to be able to keep that functionality while consolidating hardware if possible.
  7. I wanted to update this topic with a notice I got from Kingston today in response to my Amazon review. They have, indeed, fixed the hissing issue with a firmware update. I'm not sure if I can post the link to it here, but I will send in a PM. You might be able to Google for it, too.
  8. Are there any 4-conductor DACs out there?
  9. Which I would then have to plug into a splitter, right?
  10. That's lovely, but is there an alternative? I got it because of the way the microphone works and the otherwise good reviews. And for the comments about plugging it in directly...the cord isn't long enough. i could get an extension, but then I lose the 4-conductor functionality.
  11. This may likely be answered somewhere, but I am on my way out the door and can't look. I've noticed on softer sounds, such as dialogue in videos or quieter music have quite a hiss on the Cloud 2s plugged into the USB DAC that comes with it. I love the headphones and I know they're pretty good for other uses and when plugged in directly to a 3.5mm port, but the USB hiss drives me crazy at times. I've tried most of the fixes I've found on Google short of sending in for a new USB adapter. Does anyone know of a way to fix this or is it the curse of a shitty DAC?
  12. I have such unfortunate luck with mice. I bought a G500 back forever ago and the first one I had ended up with a weird multiclick issue after about a year. Logitech replaced it for free, which was awesome, and the replacement worked for years. Still works, actually. It's just pretty worn from use around the edges and I was in the mood for a change. I got the ROG Gladius a few days ago. I absolutely adore how this thing feels, however I noticed just about an hour ago that it's starting to do the same multi click issue when I left click. I'm assuming, after a bit of google searching, that this happens when a switch goes bad. I obviously have the replacement feet and swap out switches that came with the mouse, but it seems a bit ridiculous to be required to do that within a few days -- as opposed to doing it out of preference. Does anyone know of any easy fix for this issue I might have overlooked? Is Asus as good as Logitech (at least used to be) with their RMAs or do I just have to deal with the loss and hope the other switches work better?
  13. Huh. That was weird. Everything was already up to date, but in running the installer, the fan went back down to normal operating levels and is now responding to Afterburner. >.> I think my card has a ghost in it.
  14. I was just sitting here doing nothing interesting looking at mouse reviews when all of a sudden the fans on my graphics card went from silent to typhoon. I tried changing the settings in the catalyst control center and got no change. Downloaded afterburner to mess with that and got nothing. It will show the fan speed percentage changing no problem, but the tachometer stays at 3200-ish RPMs and the noise doesn't change no matter if I set it to 100% or 0% fan speed. The tempterature also is staying pretty steady at 32C. I've not even had this card a week. It's been fine thus far, but I'm a little worried the sensor on the board just pooped on me. Thoughts?
  15. I've been looking at the zowie mice. Especially the fk1 and EC1 evo. Anyone weigh in?
